I'm glad I'm not the only one that does this.

A couple of years ago, my kids complained that they never got to go to any of the fun Christmas parties that DH and I do. They would watch me all day long getting appetizers and party food ready to go and they never got to taste them. So, I decided we'd try something new. It's gone over so well, that we do it every year now. We put the tree up on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I spend the day making appetizers (meatballs, Chex mix, cheese balls, clam dip, li'l smokies, hot cider, cocoa, cookies), and we spend the evening with Christmas music, good food, and the kids decorate the tree. They feel like they are getting a "grown up" party and we all have a good time.

What a FANTASTIC idea!!!!!!

I know this sounds lame ---- but when decorating a tree - I have to have take-out pizza!

Growing up, we always went to my Nana's to decorate her tree. Everyone had assigned jobs etc. But the best part was we would get take-out pizza! Growing up we got it so very infrequently. (child of the 70's) It was a MAJOR treat to have it. So .... even though we have it nearly every other week or so here .... I have to have have when decorating. :)

what with this server too bust stuff I keep getting today! Did we fill it up too fast again! :confused3

Sorry to ask this question again but I can't find the answer. I have searched and searched.
I received my transfer paper for macntosh today and don't know which is which. One sheet has the purple strip and the other sheet has the red & blue strip. Also does anyone have the directions for the light sheets. I printed out the directions for the dark that were posted on page 719.
Thanks

Pizza is cool, but for doing the tree, I HAVE to have eggnog and Kahlua(I use milein mine) AND I have to have the christmas shows on, like the Grinch or Santa Clause is Coming to Town, something classic to a kid of the 70's...

I got the kids outside for a couple of hours today so I got a few more decorations up. It was kind of funny, I was putting up Christmas Decorations and my dn was singing Grand Ole Flag. I asked her to sing Christmas songs, but she seemed to be in patriotic mode. Must have learned them for Veterans Day.

The Double stripe is on the dark paper.

Purple stripe is the light.

Hi, all! Thanks so much for the sweet comments about my house. Yes, it is pretty clean all the time, Deb. My DH is a Type A clean-a-holic and cleans all the time (I love it!). Ellenbenny, cool about Alpharetta. Small world. Let me know if your DS ever needs anything at GT. DH works at the 9th street exit a block from the Varsity.

Well, we did get the surgery moved to this Thursday, the 17th!~ Yea! So I get to enjoy Thanksgiving with my family. :grouphug:

Bad news, my car died in the carpool line this am and barely made it to the Auto shop. My transmission is shot and it's costing me $3000. :earseek: :badpc: :headache: Won't have my van back until Wed, so the kids and I are home all day tomorrow. Might as well be productive, right? :rolleyes1 Got my color cartridge today, the rest of my shirts, and have the transfers. Tomorrow is the day! Going to wash the shirts tonight, print tomorrow am, and then iron tomorrow afternoon. :cheer2:

Kate, what size should I print for the kids (especially the landscape shirts?) Do I have to do a test print for each design or just one? Any other tips? Thanks!

You print on the opposite side of the stripes, yes or no?

My dear niece also attends GT. Does this offer go for me too? You know it would take a while to get something to her from Illinois.
