We had two designs for one of our trips with three families. The first one is my favorite and got the most attention. We did these on orange shirts:

Thank you, JimmieD for graciously sharing your template! This is what I did with it. Everyone's favorite character is on it. :teeth:

ABSOLUTELY - I want us all to have it in our signatures - then everyone will be jealous of us - as well they should be!!!! :rotfl:
Is there an easy way to add the DDA logo that you created? (It's 2:30 am on a Friday, and maybe I just need to go to bed and try this tomorrow, when it will become obvious.) Or do I need to recreate it using the glittery instructions?

Thanks!

I was just thinking the same thing!

you can use it one of two ways:

you can right click on it and do save as and then upload it into wherever you host your pictures or

you can right click on it get the properties and post it into your signature (please only do this option if you do not have a regular hosting location since it would take up my bandwith to have it in your signature - the account has plenty of bandwith and shouldn't be a problem but if we ALL started using my bandwith - I could run out of room)

Thanks Kate - I just worked through the instructions and the penny just dropped I've put it through an image hoster

edited: I just also found out how to link my DDA glittery sig back to this thread - so when I post in other boards people can find their way here to join the DDA :cheer2:

I just couldn't bring myself to use that DDA sig...

Just to girlie for me.. hehe

So i made a more manly one real quick... If a Gif can be Manly..hmmm :teeth:

I printed up some really cute designs a few weeks ago and made the iron on transfers for our shirts. I bought the transfer paper at Michaels, followed the directions to a "t" and they came out perfect. Today (well, yesterday by now) I decided to go ahead and wash them since they were sort of stiff, and the transfer paper stuff just started to fall apart. I didn't even dry them...got them out of the washer after I had turned them inside out and wanted to see how they fared. The color was the immediate thing I noticed...really faded, then I saw where the paper had fallen off. Morgans was the worst. :confused3 Oh well, I went back to Micheals and got some more shirts and will try again. Anyone else have this problem? I went to Wally World and got some Avery Paper to do some more shirts with...hope it works better. I paid 18 bucks for 10 sheets of that paper at Micheals and it may have well been made of sugar for as well as it held up in the wash :rotfl:

Make sure you Pre-Wash the shirts before you iron on the transfers.

Throw them in the washer with some soap.
Then dry them.

DO NOT use fabric softner or dryer sheets, as that can make the transfers not stick as well.

And you do want to pre wash..to get rid of sizing and any stain resist the factory may have added.

Let them sit for at least 24hrs after the iron on also to cure.

Good luck on the next batch!

Thanks...I did not wash the first batch first but I have since washed all the new shirts I've bought before doing the transfer. I hope these do well as I absolutely LOVE all the designs that people have done for me here. I'm ending up with 5 sets of shirts for our 8 day trip. I'm a woman obsessed :rotfl:

Triplefigs ... I was going to offer to make you a sparkly sig, but then a few posts later, EVERYONE already figured it out. Humph.... that's what i get for hanging out on such a talented thread.

And I thought I could give something back ;)

All the sparkles look great though! And J&N's mom, the DDA one is adorable!

my first attemt was a bust :guilty: I didnt leave the iron on long enough at the edges..and the middle cracked quite a bit and it looked different on the shirt, hard to see the design. I used a dark shirt tho, is there different paper for light and dark shirts?
