Disney Cruise

I am not sure where you live OP, but for my family, going to WDW is just too far to go once or twice a year. We live in California and we usually combine a WDW trip with a cruise using points. This June will be our third time and we have never regretted it. We had to pay cash for the kids, but I feel that we are going on an amazing vacation for a fraction of the cost.

Here's how I looked at using points for a cruise:
1. The cost of the cruise includes all meals and beverages (non alcoholic), entertainment (excursions cost extra, but are optional), and a stop at Castaway Cay. Gratuities are not included.
2. When we use the points for a stay at a WDW resort the points pay for accomodations only. We still have the expense of our meals (I'm on vacation, I don't cook), and park tickets for that stay. So for the 3 of us we could easily tack on $125/day if not more for meals/snacks/beverages and then the cost of the AP's per day. Now for those that use the kitchen and don't spend all their time at the parks, it may be a different senario.

But for us, we pretty well break even.

As others have said...their your points, use them how ever you wish.
