I posted this in the Cruise lines section yesterday and someone recommended that I post it here as well! Please help!
Hi!! I am trying to figure out where we will be getting married, and Disney is #1 on our lists. However, it will just be the two of us, and $4000 for just the ceremony seems a little steep so I was exploring getting married on the cruise ship. I was wondering if it would be possible to do the land and cruise but stay on land after the cruise? It seemed like on the website that you do the stay on land first, but I thought I would ask. Also, can someone tell me a general idea of how expensive it would be? We're looking at May 2009. ALSO! is it possible to stay longer than 4 days at disneyworld? Thanks for all your help!!!:goodvibes

You can book your land portion separate from your cruise and stay how ever long you would like. You will go through Disney Fairy Tale Weddings still for planning your cruise wedding. Yes it's a bit cheaper, but I've seem some lovely wedding journals that were just hubby and wife (maybe one or two guests) and they had a beautiful wedding. It just depends on your budget and what works for you. I would have LOVED a Disney Vow Renewal, but we are doing the Cruise one and it's only $1500 (it will only be hubby and I).

Good luck with everything, I'm sure no matter what you decide, it will be beautiful.

There's not hurt in calling DFTW (321-939-4610) and having someone call you back to answer your questions. They're the experts!

Great, thanks guys!!! I'm going to call today and see what they say. By the way, is anyone else as obsessed with these discussion boards as I am??? I can't seem to stay off here!!;)

can't you tell, we are all Dis addicts!!! I am at work and can't stay away, keep checking in for anything new (since I dont' trust the email notifications). And planning a wedding (or in our case, a vow renewal) I just have to stop by to see whats up with everyone.

hahaha!! Thats funny you said that about not trusting the email notifications, because I DON'T EITHER! It really is necessary to check yourself. :lmao: And by the way PJ, I just called the Disney Fairy Tale Weddings and the lady I talked to (For the first time the only unfriendly disney person i've EVER talked to) said that she couldn't answer my questions about the cruise, she was only going to do the wedding part of it. Did you contact and figure everything out through the wedding coordinators or through the cruise line? Thanks for your help!!!
