Hello:

My fiance and I are really thinking about having our wedding on one of the Disney cruises. Can anyone offer any feedback on this topic? Some of the questions we have are:
1) How difficult is it to book both the cruise and wedding for the same time period?
2)How many guests are allowed to attend the wedding?
3)How pricey is it all in the end--wedding, reception, photos, etc.?
4)How is Disney's level of customer service when it comes to organizing, planning and executing the cruise weddings?
5)Are the amenities and price worth it?

Please feel free to comment on other topics that I've not included in my questions. Your feedback will be most helpful!!

I unfortunately can not answer any of your questions but you may want to add to list of considerations, getting married on Disney's Island, Castaway Cay. Its beautiful and serene. Just something to think about. I did see a wedding on board the last time I cruised and I was totally jealous! Good luck!

I just went to the website and this is what it said.I couldn't find anything about how many guests would be able to be there.

Lynn - you were much more helpful then I was!

LOL:goodvibes !! I am interested in how a cruise wedding would be. I don't how if you have a reception or not. It didn't stay anything on the website.

DO we know anyone on the boards who had one?

I am going to do a search on here and see if anything shows up.

Hi,

My DF and I booked out DCL Wedding last month. They only book up to 3 weddings/vow renewals per cruise. Most weddings are on Castaway and vow renewals on the cruise BUT if you would rather have it on the cruise they will book it on the cruise for you too. My DF and I are having our wedding on a specific day which falls on a Friday when they are in Port. The Captain sets the wedding time, 4:15 of 5:30 and we will not know until 3 weeks prior to the wedding which time. I am flexable with that.

1) How difficult is it to book both the cruise and wedding for the same time period?

EASY to book. If you are booking for 2008 they will pencil you in for the date as long as it is still open and will contact you when the 2008 rates come out in May. The Wish Book prices are higher then what was quated to us on phone and she said she didnt expect them to go more then 15% higher.

2)How many guests are allowed to attend the wedding?

As many as you want. The Cake and Champain is for 8, for more then 8 there is a $10 per person fee to accomidate more champain and a bigger cake.

3)How pricey is it all in the end--wedding, reception, photos, etc.?

The Wish Book is a great start. Call the Disney Wedding phone number on the link posted below, give them your info and a consultant will call you with in 48 hours.

4)How is Disney's level of customer service when it comes to organizing, planning and executing the cruise weddings?

So far good, but I have been looking for the same info

5)Are the amenities and price worth it?

From what I have read yes. e-mail me and I will send you the link for a blog I found that posted their pictures from their DCL Wedding.

Feel free to e-mail me. Hopefully we can share more info as we both find it out. :woohoo:
