Went on the Wish last week from Pt Canaveral. The check in was a disaster and took almost 2 hours. When we did get aboard, they had closed the buffet Marchants at 2.45 when it was supposed to be opened until 3. I talked to a food and beverage officer, and she insisted it was open until 3 until she finally admitted it might have closed early. Next problem lost luggage. They found it but we had to wait in a 45-minute guest service line to identify. The major problem was when we returned to our car someone had siphoned out the gas! 3 cars near us were also stranded. Security said it was not their problem we needed to talk to the port authority. Security said it was a liability to help us. We had to get a ride to a gas station to buy a gas can only to return and be told we could not return to garage unless we paid $75 or parked off property and walked in which we did. This was our 19th Disney cruise and Guest service continues to deteriorate.

Sorry you had problems. The gas thing is a bad one.

Did the tags fall off so didn’t know where the luggage went or did you change cabins? I really don’t recall when the Market closes but there should be pool side food to eat.

We were there last week for the Treasure and had no problems at the port. Wonder what the delay was we had open boarding early.

Not a great experience, but whatever occurred regarding the parking is absolutely nothing to do with Disney nor their Guest Services and any apparent "deterioration". It is bad form though if they did indeed close the buffet earlier than they should have, particularly with guests still boarding and on a ship the size of the Wish.

I've had a few issues, some going back quite a few years, where some officers have indeed tried to make it seem like an issue wasn't a big deal (a tour guide on a DCL-sold excursion getting into an argument and swearing in front of/to some cruise guests) or have borderline tried to gaslight us (acting like they didn't give a certain piece of information even though it was clearly printed on a DCL-distributed flyer during the cruise). Not all of them are bad, but there certainly are the ones that don't like to admit when they're wrong.

Which terminal did the Wish leave from? I have a Wish cruise coming up and I think it's leaving from the alternate terminal. Maybe that made the process messier than it usually is?

This was in the cruise parking garage? I thought that was secure?

Put air tags in all your checked luggage. Game changer. We also were missing a piece of luggage on a cruise on the fantasy in 2023. I searched down the halls for it and found it myself - very far from my actual cabin. Now we use air tags and know exactly where our checked bags are!

His complaint was "waiting in line" at Guest Services to indentify it. Sounds like the tags fell off, or they had something that was banned and found when going through the x-ray machine. You then have to go to Guest Services to open them and have the item removed.

Did the same only with tile trackers. Went through the passage way and it showed the bags location behind a crew area , a lost passenger came out of a door and I saw our bags next to the service elevator. The tags were hand written by a crew member because we never received ours. The cabin number was illegible .

@chris2319 welcome back to the DIS since 2008! Sorry you had such a bad experience. I once had my luggage not show up outside my room and when I went to inquire about it with guest services, they pulled it out from the back room. They said they needed me to open it since it had a contraband item in it (clothes steamer) and I had it locked. I had to give it to them and pick it up at the end of our cruise when we got off. There was also a pair of fuzzy handcuffs on the same table when we went to retrieve it that my teens still laugh about when we pack for a cruise.

I hope you report the missing gas to Disney. It sounds like an inside job. Our last Disney cruise last fall, our luggage was completely destroyed. It was shocking- bashed in, chunks out of it, wheels crushed into the bags- and yet they put it out there for us to pick up like that was ok. We travel a lot and it was like nothing I have ever seen before. We reported it to Disney and they did reimburse us. We were not looking to get reimbursed, we just thought they should know.

We had the same thing happen with 2 of our bags and it made them unusable as we couldn’t roll them. We reported it immediately and it took a couple of tries of them fixing them with glues before we could actually use them. They made it home but the glue came undone once we were back at our home airport. I could not believe how badly they were damaged from when we dropped them off at the port to when they made it to our room.

I'm not posting this to be funny, it's just something that I'm wondering. First off, I feel bad that your gas got siphoned.

Regarding the gas situation, your gas tank was completely dry to where you didn't have enough to get to a gas station? They siphoned all your gas, and if so, where did they put it? Especially since they got three more cars. Did they have a truck? And at what point do the people at the garage start to notice something fishy going on. I mean come on, how can that happen? And if those a_____es did this once, it's probable that they've done it before and will do it again.

And further, who goes through the trouble and danger, not to mention the act of committing a crime for $30 of gasoline (I guess over $100 for the four cars minus what it cost to get in and out of the garage ($75 according to the OP)) in what's likely to be a well monitored area. I realize that criminals can be stupid, but who sets out to do this act and says "let's go down and do it at the cruise ship terminal". Am I crazy?

The OP has only posted once in 2008 and this was their second time 17 years later. I don't think they are coming back to have a dialog on this thread. I agree it doesn't make sense that someone would pay the fee (all 3 or 7 days cost depending on the sailing) to enter the garage just to steal gas from some cars. If it did happen, I would suspect it would be more of an inside job by someone who works at the port and doesn't have to pay to get in.

Yes, that's what I'm thinking. To the OP, I'd say you could have pressed the issue further. If it was you and the three cars near you, the four of you must have been there together and maybe could have made a much bigger deal about it or better, asked for law enforcement to enter the picture. There has to be video evidence, those garages emphasize that all the time. They need it not only for your benefit but for their own protection. The garage can't wash their hands, especially if there were four victims there all at once.
