Disney Cruise Swap Progress Thread - On their way home!

I don't use my bug on all my swaps.
I think of it more as an accessory maker. I've done whole swaps without using it once. And yet I couldn't have made a few of my elements without it.
So I like it. I just don't design my items around only it.

I don't use it for most of my swaps, and then only for an occasional accessory. But, anything I make with it still has to be embellished a lot with items not cricut related.

Materials purchased for both groups (Animator's Palate and Sail Away Celebration) and designed. Well --- actually, I need to get some Mickey hands for the Sail Away, but that's easy enough. This is next on the list.

I'm going to get ready to work on these this weekend.
For my color groups, is simple okay? I was thinking two/three color layers and some matching fiber & brads/eyelets. Will that be okay?

That sounds good to me, AlexWyattMommy. It makes the items more versatile, especially being the color group.

I have all of my supplies, I'm just working on ideas.

Oh goodie! I can make up my own element! Hope you guys like small dangley things you can hang from ribbon or fibers. There were so many cute pics of Captain Mickey that I choose my favorite one for the paper piecing and used the others for charm-like items. (Of course, if you don't like charms you can removed the ring and glue it onto your page.)

Need to go work on the Wonder/Magic items.

Michelle-since you are in all my swap groups, I'm making something different for a hostess thank you. What character was on your debarkation luggage tags?

liv4diz - I can't wait to see your charms, I'm sure they will be adorable. I forget who I've had on my luggage tags. I know I had Mickey on my most recent cruise. I forget who the others were - does that mean I cruise too much? Nahh, never!

I have water done and bagged.
I'm not feeling the sand & palm trees today, so I'll do that tomorrow. I did find some great new palm tree paper today to use. So I have prints & solids for both my groups now.

Having to redesign my Sail Away -- can't find what I thought I could. I did a design I think I like last night so I'll try to get it put together as a sample today. Animator's is designed and just needs to be put together.

Sounds like people are really moving along with this! I'm hoping to work on mine tonight after the little guy goes to bed. I can't believe November is coming so quickly!
