Disney Cruise Ships Hanging Out Near Cocoa Beach

The last two times (this morning and on Easter Sunday) I have been to Cocoa Beach here in Florida, I have seen one or two Disney ships just hanging out off the coast. Anyone know why the ships would be out off the coast rather than docked at Port Canaveral?

they have to pay to be in port so they only go in when they need supplies or to let people off/on

Yes, it's more cost effective to let them anchor off shore, additionally they need to be at sea in order to cool the engines and water purification systems with sea water. The go into port to resupply, refuel and also crew changes or rotations.
