Disney Cruise Line wedding photos

Your pictures are great did you have one hour or two hours of photography?? Did they come to take the pictures in the salon and in your room while you were getting ready??? I figured that i'd just have my friends take the pictures of us getting ready.... If we even took any....I am getting the biggest package which includes a lot of pictures and I want to make sure that its worth it being that there were 56 pictures in your album or did you not put them all up??

No..the pictures of me getting ready were taken by my bridesmaids..I got the VR package which was 20 5x7's and 5 8x10's plus a folio (which I traded for another 8x10) that package was $175 and came with an hour of photography services...he did the pictures of my friends and DH before I came out and then after the ceremony took just DH and I around the decks for other pictures..then he followed us to Palo to take the cake shots (since we did not have the cake set up on deck) he was there for exactly one hour

He took about 200 pictures but I also had several friends that honestly had better cameras than the ships photographer..one friend alone took 200 during the VR herself..so I am still waiting to get those..some are funny..things the photographer missed

Oh that makes me feel a lot better your pictures are great but I want to have lots and lots of pictures so we are getting the Magic Package that includes:

1 Hour of Photography Services

so if they only took like 50 something pictures I might had to rethink that. I'm sure that my guests will have there cameras as well so i'm sure we will have tons and tons of pictures and we are getting an extra hour of photography... I can't wait for it to be here already.

Make sure to ask for a SEASONED photographer..while I liked Elvis, alot of our pictures were very "hot"..meaning the flash was too bright and alot of detail was lost..we loved ALOT of the pictures and might have bought more than we got, but I wasn't going to pay for pictures that looked too white

I didn't think about this and didn't know he was new until after the ceremony and I saw the "Earning My Ears" ribbon on his name badge..if you look at the picture of my bouquet in palo, it looks yellow..because his flash wasn't enough there...

Just some FYI ...I would have been really upset to spend $600 and had scores of useless photos

oh...and go get the pictures done in the Atrium...the photographers grabbed us when we were walking by and told us to do the white background "Lifestyle" pictures..we said "no..the white will wash out" but they told us..really..you need to do them and they are the BEST pictures..I got everyone of them (used them as my 8x10's)

don't forget!! DCL allows you to reproduce any pictures taken on the cruise!!! Here is a link to the photo release..

I made a disk of them last night..the Kodak kiosk did a GREAT job and cost me $3.99

If I had known it was going to do such a good job, I would have bartered more for the smaller sizes and blown them up myself!!

Thanks for the Tips who do I speak to about getting a seasoned photographer??? The package is costing me $1000 with the extra hour of photography so mad will not even be the word if my pictures don't come out good!!!!

I am going to try to get them to just sell me the CD. I want lots of pictures, but I really don't need 75 5x 7's. I basically want like one 8 x 10 and the cd of all the shots. When it was time to pick your pictures were they already printed or did you look at them on a computer and choose? Your pictures turned out good, but I will make sure I ask for a photographer with experience. Did you need to tell them what package you wanted before you got to view your pictures?

no..they handed me about 200 5x7's and told me to go back to my room and look them over..so we grouped all the similar ones together..like all the vow pictures and all the funnel pictures..then we whittled them down...I will also say that DH tends to blink, so some pictures were just not usable because of that..

I would ask your WC about the photographers when you meet with them to review your package..since we did the B2B..we met with her on the sailing before the VR so we weren't so rushed

Lisa...just ask for the disk..the pictures at Target's kiosk were almost identical to the copy shutters gave us and they were scanned! If you have the disk, it should be even better!

ok so when we meet up with the wc before the cruise leaves to sign the marriage license I will tell them that we are paying a lot for our pictures and we want a seasoned photographer. Your VR was on Deck 7 could I ask you how it turned out???

it was PERFECT!! The Atlantis resort was in the background..I was worried about the sun being too hot, but we backed in and the shade covered the deck...EVERYTHING was perfect..even the problems with the pictures, I have to say I am THRILLED at the entire DCL/DFTW experience and would do it again in a heartbeat
(we even got a Magic Moment and were given a bridge tour!)

yeah we are actually going to be at Castaway Cay when we get married it will be at 10 in the morning and i'm sure it will be great!!! i'm a little nervous about the pictures but other then that i'm sure that it will be wonderful!!!

really...they take SOOOO many photos..alot are not needed..there was some that I loved (like DH holding my bouquet outside Palo when I was in the bathroom) that he didn't..you will have PLENTY!!
I have 24 or 25 just from the photographer and like I said one friend took 200 another took about 100 and then 2 more took HD video..I am really well covered for having the moment!!

I will tell the W/C about my plans for just wanting the disk. I mean it is $500 not $900 but they won't need to print all of those pictures. I am really hoping they go for it. It will save us $400 and we need to save all we can. I will let you all know how it goes. Cathy told me I can't get just the CD so I am hoping to sweet talk them at shutters before hand!
