Disney Cruise Line *might* be sailing from the UK in 2015

I thought there might be a thread about this already as it's fairly big news but can't see it - apologies if I've missed it though.

Apparently the Disney Magic has been listed as sailing from Dover for a handful of sailings in July 2015 leading to speculation about Baltic cruises on their way.

She's also been spotted on a Norwegian port schedule in June 2015 so looks like she may be sailing the Fjords a couple of times too (though the dates don't tally with the Dover dates so looks like they won't be home based unless from a different UK port which seems unlikely).

It's ALL still rumour because until DCL say it's official anything can happen - but if she does end up sailing out of Dover, anyone tempted?

I know I am, the thought of saving on a transatlantic flight for a Disney fix makes me do a little happy dance, though I'd prefer if the Fjord's cruises were from Dover rather than going to Baltic so would have to ponder if that was the case.

Nothing has been posted, not heard anything about it so thanks for posting.

Will look when/if released but can't see them being in my price range. Looked at 12 night European cruise this June in outside cabin 12 nights, not even in school hols and it was over $9,000($13,000 in July) for 3 of us.

That would be interesting, Disney have a niche market with their product but more competition is always good.

And yeah, I fear the prices too, the last time they sailed Baltic it was silly money, even taking into account no flights. It also sold really badly as a result though so here's hoping they're a bit more realistic this time.

This sounds good. We are doing a med cruise this summer and I thought the prices were fairly reasonable ( that is only for seven nights though). If the cruise from Dover isn't a ridiculous price I will definately be booking!

I love the idea of a cruise, but after how seasick I got last week when we went whale watching, I suspect it will always be a dream!

The seven nights were "reasonable" for disney but the twelve night were very high. They have done the seven night itinerary before but twelve night is new.

When they had Dover before I think people had some good last minute prices.

You find the new itinerary cruises are normally higher than the norm.

I watch a shopping channel which has a cruise co on, and for some reason you can get good deals for norweigen ffjords but bet disney prices won't be

I have a friend who works on the Fantasy, he's back til early April so I will ask him if he's heard anything. Hopefully I will be able to post something soon

He hasn't heard anything about sailing from the UK but he will try and find out something, probably not til he goes back though. He did say that the Magic will be doing med cruises later this year

I would certainly be interested (price allowing!) - it would be nice to justify the cost of the cruise with Disney maths by not paying the trans-atlaintic airfare
