Disney Cruise Line and Before/After Plans

Looking to book a cruise in March, 2014...hoping to fly down the day before the cruise (I can book a room at BLT, our home resort which would use more points than others... if I book a room at BLT, can I waitlist other Disney Vacation Villas now or will I have to rebook at 7 months for a resort where we wouldn't use as many points??? Never booked cruise options before...

Also, if I book something at Disney...either BLT or Vero Beach after the cruise, will we be able to utilize Magical Express??? Would love to not have to rent a car?

Magical Express travels between the MCO airport and Disney World. To travel from the ship, you will either need to purchase transportation offered by DCL ($35 per person, per leg of the trip) or use a service. We've used several of the car services to get from the ship to WDW faster. For a group of 3 or 4 (or more) it's a less expensive means of travel anyway.

At the 11 month booking window, you can't waitlist a resort for which you don't own.
