Reading another cruise board and it looks like at least a few school boards in Ontario have moved the Christmas break for next year (starting on the 24th instead of the 17th). I'm wondering when mine will tell us! In any case, I won't be booking anything until May so have some time 
And am still debating between Christmas or March Break 2017. Just hate the cost of flights in March.
And to the OP - I've only done one cruise (not Disney) so far but we arrived two days ahead because we got better flights however the cruise was Sunday to Sunday which I prefer. Flying in the day before is usually recommended, especially when weather is unpredictable. If it was summer I wouldn't worry so much, March can be iffy though. There is the option of a late night flight but that isn't a great way to start a vacation I don't think. Perhaps another cruise line would fit your schedule better? Good luck! We have done one cruise, and are kind of addicted now lol.
