We are looking at taking a Disney Cruise next summer. We are DVC members but do not plan on using on points for the cruise. (Plan on banking them to use the next year :)) Is there any form of discount that DVC members can take advantage of paying cash for a Disney Cruise? I figure if anyone would know, it would be the DISers.
Thanks

No, DVC does not get much of a discount on anything except annual passes.

You will get a magnet on your door later on the first evening that is shaped like a life preserver and says Welcome Home.

They also have a Members get together and have door prizes.

You get a Captain's Book (autograph/scrapbook type thing) that use to have a nice pen and some lanyards. I know that the pens are no longer in the books and not sure about the lanyards anymore. I didn't even open mine on the last cruise.

Depending on the sales consultants on-board during your trip, they may hand out hats, pins, pictures, etc.

After you cruise, if you book another cruise through MS within 3 days of your return you get a discount off the new booking. The discount is very small. Think several percentage points (2 - 3%)

The only time that DVC members get discounts on cruises is if a member books one or more passengers on points and pays cash for remaining passenger(s). There's no real method or determination as to the discounts, but call MS and they will tell you how much additional passengers will cost. However, if you are not booking at least one person on points, you have to go directly through DCL or a travel agent. Good luck! :goodvibes
