The bus was reportedly having some type of tire problem before the fire.

When the driver spotted smoke, the bus was pulled over on state Road 528. The bus then ignited and was videotaped completely engulfed by flames on the side of the road.

All of the passengers were removed from the bus without injury, according to Local 6 News. A Disney official said another bus was sent to pick up passengers and transport them to their cruise terminal.

Local 6 News has learned that most of passenger's luggage was sent ahead to the terminal.

The bus was apparently headed eastbound when it caught fire.

Authorities closed all lanes of the Beeline Thursday at 2:30 bus driver, averted any passengers getting hurt.....

Wow! A little more excitement than I would need on my cruise vacation . . . if I had a cruise vacation. :(

And lucky that the luggage was sent ahead! That could have been quite a blow too.

Donna,

I heard you say that those bus drivers are hot but I never realized they would burst into flames.

You never see this kind of thing on the Titanic or on Gilligan's Island. Is Disney going to introduce a pin to commemorate this? I am glad no one got hurt.

Jeff

What a cool idea.....and yes many of those drivers are very HOT!!!:thewave:

If you want to take a look, go to local6.com..

this is the station that has the webcam to Port Canaveral..where we can see the Wonder or Magic leave..

My wife called me at 5:35 and said they had not left port yet. The boat was held because so many people were trapped in the back-up on the BeeLine. Not sure when they actually left, but I thought it was very considerate of the DCL to wait for all those people stuck in the traffic jam.

Geeze, they must have been going absolutely nuts worrying about missing the boat...

Good job DCL!

Drove by ABC bus lines in Winter Garden/Oakland where they have a sort of bus 'grave yard' and we think we saw 'the bus'...unbelieveable that no one was hurt! Kudos to those responsible for getting everyone off the bus safely and kudos to DCL for having the mind to wait for late arrivals. Hoping the cruisers have a fantastic cruise!
