I read on a post somewhere that the Disney Credit Card (the old CC, not the Disney Visa) is no longer accepted at WDW or DL, and only at the Disney Stores. This seems really odd to me especially since Disney doesnt own the stores anymore. Does Anyone know if this is true?

Thanks guys,

I ws the one who posted it. I was at Epcot (in the countries on March 13) and when they ran the card for payment at a restaurant and again in France at the Pastry shop I was told the card came back as INVALID DATE. Callled the company and was told the card was fine it is an issue with the system at Disney. I had posted it here thinking others would want to know and the Moderator moved it. Maybe you could ask them to put it back. I sent an e-mail to the DIS Boards yeaterday asking why it was moved or removed and have gotten no responce from them.

Moderator Sarangel's post on that thread, when she moved it, says:

This really isn't news or a rumor, I think it will get a better response on the Community Board

The Disney Card is still accepted at WDW. Many guests use it to pay for their rooms, tickets, and merchandise. Sometimes the cards don't swipe well, and if that happens, the castmember will have to manually type the card number into the machine, and since the card doesn't have an expiration date, they can type in Dec of whatever year it is. Unless the card has no credit available, or for some other reason known only to the card holder, the cards still work.
