Disney Credit Card & Magic Band

Does anyone have any experience with linking a Disney credit card to a Magic Band? My real question is do you receive the store discount when you scan your magic band?

Similar to a linked AP, you'll need to show your card for the discount. That was my experience in October.

You don't link a CC to your MB. When you check in on site and give a CC to the hotel, that CC information is placed with the rest of your account info in Disney's computers. When you charge something on site, the MB tells the store or restaurant computer that you have a valid CC on file and allows the charge to go through.

But the MB doesn't know about discounts. You have to show the actual CC and the server/store clerk will tell the computer that you're entitled to the discount.

I believe you have to show the physical credit card to get the discount. The discount has always needed to be rung up as such, not an automatic off the final price when the card is swiped. Using your MB is the same as swiping the card. The MBs will not have details of which bank or which rewards program or such.

Speaking of rewards card, has anyone gotten their photo with it? I haven't had time but I will when I go to EP on May 3. I have a party of 11. If we are all there that day, is there any chance of all of us getting a group shot? Or are their limits on the party? I have two different rewards accounts if that helps...

Back in July, there was probably 13 or so of us. We were told there was a limit (I can't remember what it was, maybe 4? 5?) but the cm at the door gave us major pixie dust and let us all in. I would go and see what they say, but be prepared you might not all get in.

I doubt it. It's the whole point of the discount. To get u to do the American thing and use ur plastic!

I was hoping you wouldn't need to show the card and could use the magic bands. Kind of takes away from the not needing to carry as much around with you idea, but oh well, it isn't that bad to carry the card with my license that I'd have anyway.

You are definitely able to show your card and use a different form of payment. Or at least I was able to a few weeks ago.

I can understand not wanting to carry around the credit card, but you should always have your ID on you. Never know when it would be needed and you need to be identified.

I have never had to show a photo ID. Of course, this might be something new.

I don't know about the number of people they will let in, but if you have two different cards, you get two free pics.

for the pics, we have had, I think, all of the Fab 5 at one time or another, the exception being possibly not the big Mouse himself, but definitely his girl, his dog, and his two best buddies.

If you want AP discounts or DVC discounts you must present photo ID. Could be the same with any discount. Carry the ID. You also never know when a bartender will get cautious and card you.

Are they the same account? We tried that. Two of us had the card but it was the same account and they said it didn't work that way lol

The characters change, but it's someone (or more) from the fab 5.
