Disney Coranado family rooms

We have a standard family room booked for August 2022. It has 2 double beds. Just wondering if anyone has stayed in one of these rooms recently? Is there plenty of space? Is there a fridge? Is there a microwave?
Also is it easy to get out to any other reasonable non-Disney restaurants? Thanks

I have never heard of any rooms referred to as a "family" room. Can you share exactly what the room name is on your reservation?

If you have a car then EASY access to plenty of eats off property, all within 10-15 minutes. If you don't have a car then you could utilize the eats at Disney Springs.

Same. Haven’t heard of a family room at Coronado. But if you’re talking about the standard room then yes there is a mini fridge. It’s not temperature adjustable. It’s more to cool items vs. get them “very cold.” No microwave in room but you can use the one in the quick service area in the main building. Or possibly request one for your room if they happen to have any extra. Without a car or Uber, going anywhere from Coronado (except to Disney Springs and the parks via Disney transportation) is not really possible. ie it’s not walkable to food off site. If you have a car you’re good to go.

Regarding room space, how many people are in your party? Our experience is it’s the two beds and a long narrow shelf along the other side of the room to put items. Can store luggage under bed. Other than that there’s one lounge chair (no ottoman). No couches or anything like that bits set up like a double bed motel room.

PS Coronado is a beautiful property and the rooms are modern and clean and I do recommend staying there if it’s the right fit for your family.

My mistake it’s a standard double room with 2 queen size beds. Booked with TUI - so fingers crossed flight goes ahead!

The standard rooms are fairly normal sized rooms, nothing huge but not super tiny either. It's enough room for a family of 4 but I wouldn't call them large or super spacious. Getting around to other off property locations is pretty easy if you have a car. Really, it's pretty easy to get around from any disney resort if you have a car. There is a "fridge" but I think they're technically called chillers so you're not supposed to keep items that need to be stored in a fridge in them. No microwave but you can request one to your room if available. And if a fridge is needed for medicine, you can also request one of those as well.
