Someone bought me a WDW Cookbook from their recent trip & I was SO thrilled! After going through it, I don't recognize many of the restaurants. Don't get me wrong, I'm very thankful for the gift, but it was probably purchased at an outlet or something. There's no year in it, but it's called: "Cooking with Mickey-Gourmet Mickey Cookbook, Volume 2." I know there's some great recipes in it, but I'd like a current one also.

We are heading to WDW in Sept & I would love to buy the most recent cookbook. What volume are they on now? One of the main restaurants I was hoping for was O'hana's & it only has Coral Isle Cafe, Luau Cove, Papeete Bay Verandah, Tambu Lounge, & Tangaroa Terrace!!!

Also, where's a good place to buy these? Are they ever discounted-without having to buy a really old one? We drive our own car, so we like to head over to the outlets. I can't believe I've never thought to look for a cookbook (with as much eating as we do there!!!!) :rotfl2:Thanks for any advice. ;)

Cooking with Mickey-Gourmet Mickey Cookbook, Volume 2 was first published in 1992 which is why many of the restaurants there have now been changed/closed and the menus have definitely been changed. The latest published cookbooks by Disney are Delicious Disney published in 2006 (beautiful photographs and inexplicably no index) and Delicious Disney Desserts which came out at the end of 2008. I'm been waiting for months for Amazon.com to get the Desserts book in stock and apparently it's going to be sent out at the beginning of April.

You can find all the Disney cookbooks at Downtown Disney. Try the kitchen store first.
The Epcot Food and Wine Festival also published an annual cookbook but you don't find the older copies of those at Disney World. The Disney recipe exchange right here on the Disboards has the largest collection of Disney recipes anywhere online - and you'll find a lot of new ones here that are not in any of the Disney cookbooks.

I've got that one too! When I went to WDW (2005) I forgot to buy a cookbook - I looked at them and couldn't make up my mind. When I returned I found you can e-mail them and ask for stuff, so i ordered this and a set of Christmas tree ornaments. Neither item was what I had expected!:rolleyes1

Thanks guys! When you say the newer Delicious Disney cookbook has no index, do you mean there's no way at all to look up recipes (w/out searching through page-by-page?) :headache: Also, does it include desserts? Thanks!
