With the help of the DIS Boards, I helped a friend plan a trip to WDW this past February. He viewed the whole thing as a rite of passage he must endure most unwillingly for the benefit of his two daughters.....

Well, they had a great time! Stayed at CSR at a great rate, saw a lot in just four park days, even talks about going back.

Further confirmation as he just returned from a visit to Busch Gardens Williamsburg. His observation was that, although Busch Gardens is a step above Kings Dominion, and two steps above Six Flags, he couldn't stop thinking about how much cleaner, better kept, better run---and just better, period---the Disney parks were.

that's funny. we were at BG-williamsburg this weekend too, and while we found it nice, it nowhere near compared to WDW in our books. :)

BGW is our between WDW trips park. I love it there, and DS is getting to an age where he needs the thrill rides that WDW lacks.

I'd still choose WDW any day though. :)

That's great -- it's good that he went with an open mind.

One bad side effect of being a Disney nut -- you can't go to other parks without picking out all the things they should improve on.

My husband was the same way.

well said DocRafiki! I am definitely a WDW snob. Other parks, while entertaining, are lacking in the whole "experience."
