We booked the MK View. How is the view anyone ever stayed in this room?

We LOVE that view! The rooms are the best! We have stayed at the CR 3 years in a row and just love everything about it. Especially the VIEW! Have a great time!

Here is a picture from the Magic Kingdom view my family and I had on the 12th floor in August 2006, so you can see how it would look from the room you would be getting.

thank ya'll for the pic just making sure it is worth the money even know we already booked lol

We were there last August in an MK view room. Loved it so much, we'll be back this summer. The views are great (day or night). DD4 loved the fact that if she left the blinds open, she could fall asleep looking at cinderella's castle and that it would be the first thing she saw when she woke up. You just can't put a price on memories like those :cloud9: .

We stayed in the Magic Kingdom View room last summer and couldn't believe how amazing it was! We had stayed at the Beach Club and the Boardwalk first and moved to the Contemporary for the last two nights. By far, my favorite. I didn't want to leave the room. The beds were the most comfortable I have ever laid on, and I could see the Cinderella's Castle from it. We stood on the deck to watch the fireworks and see the water parade, all right from our room. The second night we went up to the California Grill, which I might suggest also at fireworks time. My DH and I ate, and my kids got "fancy" drinks. I love all of the resorts we have stayed at and they are probably in this order of preference: Contemporary, due to its view, decorating and location to MK, Boardwalk, due to how close it is to Epcot, Beach Club, also close, Animal Kingdom Three Bedroom Savannaha view room would be my very favorite of all time if it had a view like the Contemporary, but it's so dag on far away and I'm all about the convenience of the parks. Have fun and enjoy every minute of your very magical room!

I liked watching the fireworks better from our room than from the park. There were no trees to get in the way and no crowds to navigate once it was over. We loved it.

I just hope the rumors about DVC at Contemporary are true....because i would like that view as well....otherwise just a bit too pricey for me

I had a MK view at the Poly in November but the view was obstructed. I wasn't impressed with the Poly..We are going back in August and I had originally booked the GF but after reading these boards I decided to switch my reservation to the CR in a MK view...to me it was a no brainer to have an unobstructed view and pay a little more..The pictures that, Cr Resort for Life, posted solidified my descision. Have fun ;)

I cant wait for memories like those! Up until now, I have found the price of MK view at CR laughable, but once our little one is here, Im sure I wont be able to pass it up any longer! princess:

We were there 2007/2008 NYE and had a MK view on one of the upper floors--it was a great view to wake up to. The view of the fireworks was excellent as well, although I'm not sure the show is designed to be seen from that angle (?).

Additionally, since the rooms have been updated I think they are in contention for the finest rooms in WDW. As expected, being on the monorail was a pleasure.

I agree with the PP who hopes for a DVC property here--that will absolutely grab my attention. :cloud9:

I am trying to decide between Poly, GF and CR (MKV)? I have not stayed at the CR since the rooms were updated. Are they indeed the best now?:confused3

It's likely that "best" is very much a matter of personal taste, however the 2008 Unofficial Guide's survey has them rated the highest.

Thanks MassJester,

I see you have stayed at many resorts. I have stayed at all but Poly and GF. My family loves (MKView). My DH loves a good bed. Which resort would you say has the most comfortable beds?

::chuckle:: I have to be honest, I'd be a very poor judge. I'm usually so tired at the end of the day that I could curl up and go right to sleep on a bed of nails.

do ya'll think the week befor columbus day will be crazy or reasonable we will be there oct 5-11
