Disney Computers Down

I just called Disney with a question about our upcoming trip. The CM said the computers are having a "magical enhancement" and to call back in a few hours. I wanted to extend the number of days on our park hoppers by one day. I asked if I could just change it when I got ther and she said no? I am puzzled because I thought I had read that you could add days to your passes when you checked in. Has anyone done this before?:confused3
 
You can upgrade any Magic Your Way ticket within the first 14 days of use, so yes you can, and she was incorrect.
 
They are always down.. they were down at noonish when I called!

ETA: I just called they told me they are down until tomorrow at 8am! It seems every cast member says something different about every issue (how long computers will be down, issues about codes, things about resorts/rooms, etc).
 
I just got off the phone. My final payment is due Monday, I was going to do it now while I'm thinking about it (wanted to save myself worrying that I would forget, as if, LOL). Anyway, the CM I spoke to said the computers should be back up after 6:00 this evening. Talk to a dozen different CMs, get two dozen different answers huh? :rotfl:

They're probably all telling us to call back after their shifts are over. :rolleyes1

I just got off the phone and they said they could now do room only.
Hmmm... is it just me or does this seem rather convenient the day before prices go up?? :mad:
 
I think it is because the ticket price increase is in conjunction with the 2008 packages being released. It makes sense that they would be upgrading today.
 
I just checked and they are still down. I was trying to make my final payment which is due Mon. The CM said to call back later this eve.:confused:

Ha! I just called too, because I thought there was a problem paying off my balance, so they said the computers are having a "Magical Enhancement." I love Disney.
I just called at 4:15pm and he said they should be up in three hours.

I just called them and was able to buy tickets at the current prices!!! It looks like you can do that AND book a room!!! :happytv:
 
What I don't get is why wouldn't they just change the system (or whatever is it they are doing) between 10pm-7am? I guess that would just make to much sense. :confused3
 
I tried calling around 11:00 this morning, they told me call back after 2:00 so to be safe i waited until now (almost 5:00) and she told me I'd have to call back 8-9 tomorrow!
 
I called today and was told that room only can be booked, but no packages because they are updating the computers with the new 2008 packages. He also said they were having a meeting this evening (I'm sure it's already taken place) so the CM's can be updated on the packages. I asked if he would they were getting info on the new dining plan, and he said yes.

So, I guess we'll see :)

He did seem like he knew what he was talking about, unlike the CM I spoke with yesterday that had to keep me on hold for a few minutes every time I asked him a question.
He said the earliest they would be up was this evening, but most likely not until tomorrow.
 
I just called because I DID forget to pay our balance that was due on the 2nd. I was so busy this week, I kept thinking about it, but never actually did it. :scared1:

Computers still down. Th CM pretty much said, "Uh Oh, you'd better call first thing in the morning."
My name is so going to be mud if I screwed this up.:sad2:
