Disney comics

Hi everyone! I am brand new to this site and first I would like to say hello!
I live in Los Angeles and never knew there was so much I could find out about Disneyland in one place..., that sure makes it easier for the next time I am going to go! Big ups to whomever made this website.

I have a favor to ask all of you, I have about 3 old 1950 comic books that I was trying to sell, I recently got laid off and could use the money...most people in the comic book stores/collectors aren't very interested in the Disney stuff..they are more interested in the superhero stuff...so does anyone know of a place where people are interested in Disney collectibles in Los Angeles, they are worth quite a bit of money but if I have to sell them for less I'd rather give it to someone who will have a big smile on thier face when they get them...

If anyone knows where I can go please let me know...

Try selling them off of ebay or amazon, also look on the web for hobby shops nearby, they may be able to take them. I know that some comic shops actually will take them, but yes that is rare. For instance, one comic shop I go to does not take the old Disney comics but one just a block down actually DOES take these. This is where I bought my Haunted Mansion comics. Can you get the comics appraised? This way there is a definite price and you can be sure to bargain correctly. There is also a disneyboard here (not on community) that can also help you. Also, how much are you expecting for the comics?

I agree with trying ebay. Another thought: Maybe a store specializing in Disney collectables would be a better prospect than a comic book store.
Seems like I've seen on-line some stores specializing in Disney collectables in SoCal
