Disney college

Could somebody explain this to me. I've seen it referred to and I was wondering what it was. Is it a school you go to to train to be a cast member? Also, my son (who wants to be an actor and is a gymnist) was very interested in some of the parts in the shows. How do you go about trying out for these. Or better yet, how do you find out about hiring and such at Disney. Thanks!
