So, I had my DCP phone interview today and I'm so nervous about how it went that i wanted to post about it and get peoples opinion.

So I had a lot of planning go into this, a lot of studying, etc however, when it came to the phone interview I got really really nervous....i stuttered hardcore at the first question (why do I want to do the program) because i was nervous I blurted it out "oh my god sorry i'm so nervous!" and then proceeded to answering the question although i know i was really shaky and left some things out

I think I did fairly well on the others, other than the nerves that came out through my voice.......and some ranting for a question :rotfl2: :rotfl2: (I understand what i was saying but i'm not sure if she did)

I said I was open for a lot of roles....including quick service which is one that is not very popular......

I'm very very nervous.

Can someone ease my anxiety? Even if you have to be honest and say "yeah, you messed up. Maybe next time."

I'm just hoping she won't put my slip up with the first question in the paper that she sends out.....

I'm pretty sure they get the "I'm nervous" line quite a bit so I wouldn't worry about that. I think it's perfectly normal to feel like you did poorly right after an interview of any sort. You always think of things you should have said after the fact. The fact that you put quick service as a possible option helps a little since that role is in higher demand by the company because of the many QS locations, high turnover rate, and the fact it's not the most popular choice for CPs. If you think you did good on all of your other questions then honestly you have nothing to worry about.

Actually when I had mine I was the same I also felt I messed up but and I wasn't as open to roles as you were and I still passed mine. I think your fine don't worry :)
Best of luck

A little bit of nerves is normal, and they know it, especially from kids who have never had a job interview (now, in 20 years when you are trying to land that CEO position, they may not be as understanding :lmao:). As long as you got "better" as the interview went along, it's fine. It also helps them get a feel for how you will be under pressure.

Side note ... if you have the chance, take some improv classes, either at your school or through a community theater. They'll help a *TON* with thinking on your feet. Or play a game with your family/friends, have them either call you randomly and ask a question, or when you are with them have them ask you a random, off topic question, and see how quickly and well you can respond.

I hope you did well. Good Luck. How long was your interview? Did the interviewer tell you how long the interview would take beforehand? I bet they are trained not to show how they are reacting either way and just be friendly.

I wish I could send you and everyone some pixie dust. My daughter just had her interview a few minutes ago and she was afraid she was going to be sick. She feels the same way you do but you really won't know until you know.

My daughter was in theater her whole life and finally decided the stress was just to much. She loves the stage but there is always the chance you will do well or that there is someone else better qualified. It always means there is another journey for you to take. But I will wish the best for you! pixiedust:

lt us know.

I had my interview this morning with Tiffany and I feel like it went really well. She told me up front that it would take about 20 minutes and it was pretty obvious that she wanted to keep it that way. She was friendly and professional, but not exactly chatty. It ended up being EXACTLY 20 minutes (she said she has been doing CP recruiting for 5 years, so I imagine she knows how to get all the info she needs in the time frame).

I said "um" maybe a few times too many, just because my mouth can't keep up with my brain when I get going. The only part I'm really hesitant about was when we talked about the "Disney Look". I have two tattoos, both easily covered, but I felt like maybe there was a little judgement, even though she said she was only asking for costuming purposes.

Do any of y'all know if tattoos can hold you back when it comes to being accepted?

My daughter has 2 tattoos one on each shoulder and she just started her CP. Her costume for QSFB covers them up completely.

Hey all!

Just had my phone interview. I feel like it went okay.. She said it would only take 20 minute and it took 25min. She also called me at 10:05 so I stressed a little haha She asked very broad questions about:

Multitasking,
why I want to work for Disney,
Emergency,
repetitive work,
speaking in front of crowds,
Past job experience,
technology,
roommate stuff,
international,
pace,
teamwork vs alone,
if I had a drivers license,
working with difficult people,
people who don't speak English,
and how to greet a guest.

I said in my web based interview that I was willing to do EVERYTHING sooo she told me she wouldnt ask any job specific questions. I told her I wanted to be a hopper and she was pretty pumped about that. SO I hope that is good!

I told her about my tattoos.. I have one on the inside of my elbow.. she wasn't judgmental but she said Ill have to send that to costuming because you'll have to wear long sleeves. She asked me size and exact location so I just went into detail to save time. She asked me if I was aware of the Disney Look and I told her I am and I am willing to wear long sleeves. And she told me that in the summer I will have to.. I agreed I do that with my jobs now sooo..

I am super excited but nervous. She told me I'll know in 2-3weeks!
