July 9th-10th, 2013

July 9th, 2013 - The Seas Aqua Tour

This afternoon I went to Epcot with my friends Amanda and JC from work. We went to Les Chefs de France for dinner and I got the macaroni and cheese. It was perfect.

We also waited to meet Tigger and Pooh in the UK!

When we got up there, the band was playing "Crocodile Rock" so we all had a dance party!

That night a bunch of us from Coronado had an opportunity to participate in The Seas Aqua Tour! It was SUCH a cool opportunity! It was the big fish tank in The Seas that I have been admiring my ENTIRE life. The one with the hidden mickey made out of rocks in it. GUYS I GOT TO SWIM IN THERE. WITH ALL THE FISHIES. OH MY GOD.

We had half an hour to just swim around and explore. There were sharks and fish and turtles and starfish and EVERYTHING. I was just swimming and swimming and I felt so free. It was amazing. You could see the people in the viewing area of the Seas and also in Coral Reef! They could see us, too, so I waved to them and they waved back! IT WAS SO COOL!!!!!!

There were three hidden mickeys that I found - the one that's made out of multiple rocks, one big rock and two little rocks, and then a bunch of medium sized rocks shaped to make mickey's body. It was so cute!!

After that, we were going to head out... but we found ourselves near The Land. So why the heck not, we figured we should go on Soarin'. Just because we can!! Casual Tuesday night. We have the coolest life. We found our friends Taryn and Courtney and we all went together!

July 10th, 2013 - Magic Kingdom (Again!)

After work and an afternoon nap it was time to go to the Magic Kingdom! got Casey's Corner for dinner. We just listened to my favorite piano player and enjoyed hanging out on Main Street! We had some visitors too! I can't believe those birds have been there for so many years. It's so funny!

After eating and talking for a good long while, we took our time and started heading to our first attraction of the day - Peter Pan's flight! Yay! It was wonderful and magical, like always.

Then we walked towards Tomorrowland and we stopped at Storybook Circus to take some pictures because it was the golden hour! Everything looked beautiful!

Then we went to Space Mountain!! The standby wait was 115 minutes but we had our handy dandy fastpasses! We had FANTASTIC luck because they were were loading EVERYONE onto the left side. I mean EVERYONE. But then we got up there and they switched and sent up to the right! IT WAS PERFECT. Not only that, but while we were on, the PeopleMover lights were on so we could see a good chunk of the track. IT WAS SO COOL AND I WAS FREAKIN' OUT.

After we got off the ride, we walked through Tomorrowland.

I NEEDED to get ice cream. Once I get the idea of ice cream stuck in my head, I cannot control myself. So I got my first ever Mickey ice cream sandwich! YUMMY! We went into Cosmic Ray's so I could eat it in the air conditioning so it wouldn't melt. It was absolutely DELICIOUS. I was so happy I finally got one!!

Then we crossed over Main Street USA and had a little photo shoot.

Off to Liberty Square!

Then we made it over to Splash Mountain next and went on the ride! We got put in the first row today which resulted in us getting SOAKED. Worth it, though.

Thunder Mountain was our last stop and we were in the third row for that! It was SO MUCH FUN!!!

Then we were off to New Fantasyland again so we could go on the Little Mermaid! I can't get enough of this ride. I seriously go on it like... every single day. No one is mad. No one.

After we got off, it was after 10 o'clock and Wishes was going on! But it was time to start heading towards the park exit. So we went to start leaving Fantasyland and I saw my friends Sam and Derek from my front desk class at Disney University/Boardwalk! We ended up talking to them for like... 40 minutes! Ryan and Sam actually live in the same apartment complex which is such an insane coincidence!! Then my friend Allyson from my front desk class met up with them too so after all of these months I got to see her again! It was like a little Disney reunion and I loved it!!!

We said goodbye and then headed out of the park. We walked to the Contemporary and then took the monorail from there to the TTC, which was way more fun because we didn't have as long of a wait for the monorail/we got to wait in air conditioning!! It was great.

I'm so happy to hear you are doing so well. I hope you love your new school, I thought for sure when your brother came down to look at colleges that's what got you to thinking about going there. I thought for sure you'd want to check them out with him and found a school you liked.

I'm so blessed by your happiness there, I hope it all works out for you. Are you still working for Disney, or are you just going to school right now?

Half of your pictures weren't showing up last night so I didn't see your present to Mark. What a lovely idea!!! That took a lot of thought and effort!! Wow!! I'm sure he loved this, especially knowing what it took to get it done. You're such a great friend.

The idea you had for Mark's birthday present was pretty awesome, wow! The time and effort you must have put into that...and those drawings are pretty great just by themselves. You are quite the artist!

ohhhhhh my goodness. i am a huge fan of the chipmunks (see little me to the left, clearly ecstatic to see them) and that picture of them in their little americana outfits made my night. they are so adorable!!

Also, as a side-note I just wanted to post the outcome of Mark's birthday present! I drew and colored all of the character inspired letters and then went all over at got the characters to hold them up during those insane character hunts! By the end, I had enough character pictures to spell out "Happy Birthday Mark!" Then I put them all together, got it printed out, framed it, and gave it to him for his birthday! He loved it.
