I have been looking all over the internet and Disney websites for some kind fo information to see if Disney offers the paid internship programs to people wanting to help out with the fairytale weddings. I found the regular college Disney internship on the internet, watched the entire E-presentation and even filled out an application and questionnaire. In the end they told me they didn't have anything open for me right now, but none of the jobs listed were anything I was all too thrilled about. (ie-food service). I know when your going to be an intern anywhere you can't afford to be too picky about what job you get, but Disney Weddings is something I've always been interested in and weddings/being part of the process of helping to put things together in general. So if anyone has any information at all, I would really appreciate it so very much. Thank you!

Well first off, Disney has multiple programs for college students. The first and larger one is called the College Program. This is how Disney hires all of those students to help run the rides, prepare the food in parks, and work as character attendants (plus loads of other jobs!). The application deadline for this round has recently passed.

What you are looking for is the Disney Professional Internship program. These are the jobs that relate to your major directly. Some are for alumni of the College Program only, some are strictly management internships, while the rest are general professional internships. The application deadline has recently passed (March 26th), so unfortunately, this is why you could not find any info about these ones as they were removed from the website.

Actually, they do have some social media marketing internships with the Disney Fairytale Weddings Department. They have very few spots open for them though (they are only accepting two interns for this upcoming run). But they are there! I would suggest heading over to the College Board here on the DIS and start reading! Perhaps you can find out when the next round of applications will start. :thumbsup2

Hello :)

I actually applied to DFTW's professional internship. It used to be that u had to complete a CP program to apply for the PT's but nowadays they are waiving that rule. At the time I applied I went on to the Disney College Program website and found it from there. This was few years ago so that may have changed

The interview was great and lasted about a half an hour. I didn't get the internship sadly but got some great experiences as a GR Intern at the parks instead.

Here's what i can tell you

The program is EXTREMELY limited so if you get an interview be happy :goodvibes because some people don't. However don't let that frighten you off because they were great and seemed very genuine and were definitely upfront in letting me know how many they could take. This is all due to the fact that they are a small team so you can't blame them

Hope it works out for you :) fingers are crossed

One caveat about the Fairytale Weddings Professional Internship: Although not all PI's require you to have done the college program, your chances of getting it improve dramatically if you have. Typically there are only one to two spots her PI. If it is between two applicants and one has done the CP and one has not, more than likely the one who has done the CP will get it. When I was a Campus Rep for the CP, we always encouraged people who were interested in PI's to complete the CP for this reason.

Thank you so much for this information! I came a-creeping because I'm trying to figure out the best way to work my way in as well. Thanks! :goodvibes
