If I wanted to use points for GC at DLR how many months in advance do I have to book, or is it on a space available basis?

I booked at the end of August for May, 2008, no problem. And, I don't think the new points schedule had officially be published at that point.

But if I wanted to book for January 2008, can I make the ressie on December 2007 if space is available? Like a last minute trip thing...

Hi Mike and Welcome to the DIS!

We just went to DL and used points at the Grand Californian with only a two week notice for booking! There was not huge availability, but we did just fine getting the days we needed. So you never know!

It's on a space available basis.

The booking window for DL resorts is "From 11 months to 2 days before check-in date"*

Cancellations: "4 or more days before check-in date, All Reservation Points will be returned to the Use Year in which the reservation falls. 3 or less days before check-in date: All Reservation Points will be forfeited."*

That's the answer i wanted to hear thank you. Is the Vacation planner online somewhere or do you have to be a member to get one? I'm trying to go the resale route but as everyone knows it takes awhile. Also is the space available rule also apply if I wanted to do a last minute trip to a Disney Concerige hotel or other non-dvc trip?
