Disney collection hotels

Hi all,
I know that DVC points per stay cannot go up over the years (i understand they can change seasons etc but points near enough stay the same over the years). But can they change the Disney Collections Hotel points? We love the poly and will always want to do a few days there (i kow not a great use of points but we love it so much) Do the points for a POLY stay go up each year or stay the same to when you signed your contract? Thanks

As the rack rate continues to rise at WDW hotels, the points per stay also increases. The DL hotels did go down this year, but they could go up.

The number of points required for the DCL has also increased.

These rates are negotiated by DVC.

You would expect the point requirements to stay relatively stable. Yes, the rack rate at non-DVC WDW hotels go up each year, but so does the rack rate at the DVC resorts.

Personally, I am hoping that we will see more 'point breaks' like we are currently seeing at the DLR. DVC should be able to negotiate best rates at all non-DVC hotels. Especially at resorts without a DVC prescence (Paris, Tokyo, HK).

But maybe this is just wishful thinking.

They can change the points and have had major increases in the past. They could do away with the program tomorrow if they chose.
