Disney Collection 4 Month Window

I WAS LOOKING TO GO TO DISNEY IN JUNE AND POSSIBLY STAY AT ONE OF THE DISNEY COLLECTION HOTELS. IF MY USE YEAR IS AUGUST, DOES THAT MEAN I WON'T BE ABLE TO USE MY POINTS TO RESERVE THESE ROOMS?

You can use your points for the stay, but the reservation has to be made prior to April 30.

Actually, it used to be 2 months, but when the banking deadline changed to 4 months, the Disney Collection booking window did, too.

I think it may be to give Disney more time to rent out the DVC unit to pay for Disney Collection exchange before the end of the use year.
