Disney Club renewal proration

Hello,

This may be old news to the DIS board but I couldn't find it anywhere. I called the 800# listed on the back of my card to see how much it would cost to renew. My current card expires March 2003. The woman I spoke with said that they are prorating the renewal fee based on the # of months you have left to cover for 2003. My renewal for April 2003 to December 2003 was $22.46. The new card takes about 2-3 weeks to receive.

Hope this helps those who have vacations booked for 2003 and their card was running out before the vacation.

That's great news! It was my understanding they weren't going to prorate renewals and because of that I wasn't going to renew when mine expires in April. Thanks!

Your Welcome Peachgirl......You still need to renew before the December deadline but they are now prorating. Guess they knew there would be a lot of unhappy people if they charged us a full year.

I renewed mine and I didn't get the prorated rate, my card would have expired in Feb.

MinnieandMickey....call them back!!! I know that a few days ago I called and they said that it would be the full price but that there was talk of doing proration and I was told to wait until today to call. When I called today I was given the proration. I think you should call them back and find out about getting your renewal fixed to the prorated amount.

Thanks I will call tomorrow mine is due to expire in May and I am glad I will not have to pay for a full year to get the new card!

I was just about to post this. Last night I sent an E-mail and was told of this. I will be calling later today to re-new my membership. I was not happy about paying for the whole year, but I would have since my savings was still greater than the amount I was spending.

i called them the other day because my card expires october 2003 and every year we go in november. it cost me 4.99 to extend till december. i received the card a couple of days later!
