Is it worth it to join the Disney Club?

A friend of mine said you get a discount when you buy certain passes to the parks?

Also -- I was told you can buy tickets to the parks at your local Disney store?

I don't mean to sound clueless but .....

I think its worth it. Between the discounts on the passses and the discounts at National Car Rental, mine has way more than paid itself off! Plus other discounts avail as well.
