Would anyone happen to know what the CURRENT Disney Club discount ( for the period that ends 12/19 in the value season of THIS year) is on the Deluxe Magic Package. We are going to stay at Ft.Wilderness and right now we have three cabins reserved at the Annual Passholder rate, but the family would like to switch to the Deluxe Magic Plan.
I need to finalize my ressies today. The period of discount I am looking for is up to 12/19/02.
I am getting the Disney Club anyway, but they won't give me a # and allow me to book anything until I get the Club Number in an e-mail and they said it will take at least 24 hours, which would be too late for changing the ressies I now have.....I've looked everywhere and can't find the percent that they are discounting.
Thanks for any help you can give!

My DC materials say that for the Deluxe Magic Package, DC saves you $100 plus the room discount when available. The room discount (when available) for FT Wilderness cabins from 11/3 -12/19 is 15%.

HTH.

FWIW, I think you will be better off keeping the AP discount on the cabins and booking tickets, recreation and meals separately. Here's a link to info on what the Deluxe Magic Package includes:

I agree that you should keep the AP discount. With the Deluxe Magic Plan don't you get your meals included? With the cabin you have a full kitchen. I'm not saying you would eat every meal there - because we don't do that either - but you would probably have breakfast there just because of convenience & possibly some lunches if you return to the cabin in the middle of the day.

Sometimes we don't even eat 3 meals - depending on what time we do eat a full meal & how many snacks we have had during the day.

Maybe try the discovery magic pkg. 2 wishes per day. They can be used on meals or other things.

Thank you all for your replies!..this is what we are doing. It might sound crazy, but it's a lot of piece of mind having it paid up front!...I will be traveling with 6 of my children of whom most of are adults, except for the 5 year old, plus my daughter-in law and 2 month old grandson and my daughter's boyfriend. That makes 10 of us!
We will be at Ft Wilderness for 6 nights, 2 of which I have kept the passholder rate for. We originally had 3 cabins at that rate for the 6 nights. I had changed it to keep only 2 cabins for 2 nights, as my daughter and her boyfriend can't make it down there until the next night after we arrive. I put the Deluxe Magic plan on for all of us (as is necessary to do). With shifting around of 'paper figures', I decided to keep the third cabin for the 3rd through 6th night at the DC rate to which the plan was added. We were going to do it with just the 2 cabins, but once all was figured out; (DC deducting $100 of the package per cabin, insurance dropped for the duration for all, and saving the $300 on not using the 3rd cabin for the 1st two nights), adding the 3rd cabin to the last 4 nights, cost only a couple hundred dollars--theoretically!
My son and daughter in law are nervous that their baby will disturb others, so the extra cabin works out well, especially whereas my daughter has volunteered to stay in their cabin and her boyfriend in mine!
My gang are avid fishermen and intend to do the fishing excursions with 2 boats, either twice a day or an extra hour added on to each trip..that alone will be over $500 a day; six or so will be parasailing at least once, waterskiing and maybe wakeboarding! Four of them would like to do Golf at Magnolia and we will certainly all do the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue.
Three of them are/were chefs, one of which was one at Disney about 10 years ago!..hence, they like to do it big when on vacation!..me too!! We will try very hard to get our money's worth, as it will be a very long time before we will do this again! I have requested 3 cabins in the 2500 loop. I would have liked to have been close to the Marina area, but I think those are only campsites and this loop seems to be near the pool. Does anyone know of a better loop?
Again, Thank You all..(and wish me luck!:) )
