I have been waiting for three months for discounts for the month of May for car rental and I read all info posted on Monday with glee! But I became very confused with all the conflicting info posted.
I am a DC, DVC, Entertainment Card, AP, AAA, and Sams Club member/holder. I however, did not receive my January newsletter that apparently holds a disc coupon (DC). I called DC who informed me that some are late. The newsletter is not available on line to read when you log in. He quoted me numbers that he said were for the coupon. He was wrong, they were the new contract ID numbers that are printed in the book. These are the same numbers I had tried to use on Nationals site to no avail. He informed me that I had to call National in order to use the new numbers. Apparently, the new contract ID's are not accepted on line.
Well, I just used the old ones posted on Mousesavers (I still have my old book anyway) and these gave me the best deal. I used my coupon from Entertainment book (I gave up on DC) and used the code of DESFL that someone posted here earlier. I called National who had absolutely no idea why the expired number still works and the the current number prices are quite a bit higher. As long as you have your confirmation printed out from your on line booking and present a current membership card and the coupon at time of rental (for me Emerald Aisle) they will honor it.
