Disney Closed Today?

We were at DL yesterday and CA today. DL was very busy but the parade filming made it really hard to get around esp about Noon - 1pm; they were filming right in front of the castle. Our FP for Space Mountain was at 12:30 and we had to walk behind the castle and through Fantasyland to get to Space Mountain. We ate at the Corn Dog Truck and we saw the actress who plays Hanna Montana doing a photo shoot near the First Aid building. We left the park around 3p and went to South Coast Plaza!!!

DH just looked that up on IMDB when I didn't know her name . . . maybe he was there too; she had an entourage with her, hair, makeup, security goon, etc.

We were there today and it was crowded, but not too bad. Not as bad as a summer day. The lines were long, but quick on all the things we went on. (you know... the fast rides, Pirates and HM.) Sounds like it was way worse yesterday and Friday.
Daniel Powter was filming in front of the castle today, but we didn't stay to see him. Not much of a crowd there either for the filming.

We were there Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Thursday was great - lines weren't bad at all, especially using the Fastpasses. Friday we went to CA (anticipating DL would be crowded). Although we headed back to DL around 8pm so we could see the fireworks. We got in fine but it was sure crowded. Saturday we went back to DL - it was crowded, but I think the filming made it seem even worse. On Saturday we just stuck to the fastpass rides and finished up all our shopping.

We were there as well but we got there on Friday at opening and were able to obtain several FP's and hop on most rides easily. After lunch we left for a break and came back in the evening and although it was packed we just used our FP's and had no problems.

We stayed away on Saturday even though my girls really wanted to see Ally and AJ. We were at CA and had no problems there either and got several sets of FP's and went on everything 3 or 4 times. Had a GREAT time.

We were back at DL on Sunday and again it was crowded but with proper manipulation of FP we had no problems. We didn't even need a hand stamp when we left for our mid day break since we have AP's. We came back after dinner and stayed till 11. It was great except I dropped my hat and dd left her purse in the basket of Big Thunder and we both realized right away but still lost our stuff. Another couple at lost and found got their expensive stroller stollen with all their stuff. Sad!!

It was packed but if you do it right you can still have fun.

Not suprised here either....last year we went on Veteran's Day weekend and it was the busiest any of us had ever seen the parks (including summer weekends!). That used to be our weekend of choice...not anymore!

We went the second weekend in December last year and the park was shut down. We were staying for 2 days so we went back to the hotel to take naps, and when we came back around 6:00 we werent allowed in. As people left they would let people in but never again will we go during the holiday season.

My little sister loves her along with the entire cast of High school the musical! Those shows don't appeal to me....I think it's because I'm becoming a
fogey-saurus. :upsidedow
