disney cinemagique???

quick question i love th movie ride in disney world mgm.

is disney cinemaqique similar to this ride?

and if not what is this ride like?

Cinemagique in DLP studios isn't a ride at all - you go into one room first like a little theatre, and see some clips of the popular Disney cartoon movies. Then you go through to another little theatre, where a guy takes you through the illustration process etc. We didn't stay for that bit I'm afraid - my 5-year old wasn't interested.

Cinemagique is like a cinema version of the MGM ride~ if that makes any sense??!! You sit in a cinema and it all happens on the screen rather than a ride that moves along.

Isn't that the Art of Animation - where you see the dragon from Mulan being animated?? I can undertand why your 5 year old was a little uninterested

Cinemaque is not a ride at all.

You go into a cinema and see some clips from all kinds of films that people are familiar with and you have some interesting experiences while that's happening. It's a fun way to see clips from th many films from it's history, too.
You sit down in a chair, which is on the floor. There isn't any movement.

The Art of animation is about how people create the anmated films. You listen and see about some of the history in the first room.

In the second room, there is an animator who tells about the process of creating animated films. Unfortunately they speak French, and you can hardly hear the translation in the headphines.

The final room gives you an opportunity to learn how to draw Mickey Mouse or other famous Disney characters. You can also try other things in that room, too.

Thanks Jackie!! I've never been, and I'm longing to see it after all the great things I've read about it!! I'm just praying it isn't closed for the two days I'm there in November!!

It is even better in November as it gives you a chance to thaw out for 45 minutes

We've never been on this either. Diane has always liked the Studios whereas I was somewhat underwhelmed. This year I am so looking forward to WDS
