I am planning a trip next year for the CRAZY Holiday week next year. I was bummed to find out that by the time I will get there most of the Holiday stuff like the "Very Mery Christmas Party" will be over with by the time I am going. Is this really true? Are there any other special things that are a must see during Holiday Dec. 22-29th? Help?!

This past Christmas was the first time they had done a MVMCP that late. We always get to WDW on the saturday a week before Christmas and the last party was always the day before. So there is a pretty good chance that there will be no MVMCP while you are there. Although after the last party Holiday Wishes is done every night. They also have the Christmas parade everyday. So you get some of the stuff for regular park admission.

The odds are good that the MVMCP will be over by the time that you check in. But the decorations will still be up and you'll be able to see the MVMCP parade during the daily parades.

As for recomendations, if you have the time, I recomend resort hopping and taking in how each resort is decorated for the holidays. The Osbourne Lights are always a MUST SEE. and depending on whether you are travelling with kids or how old they are, I also recommend the Candlelight Processional at Epcot.

Must see the Osborne Lights. Also, I don't care what the weather forecast says, pack long johns just in case. Take it from me, PoppyGirl & TinkerMom76, we froze our butts off!!

We went the week of Christmas 2years ago. My only advice is get to the parks EARLY!

I agree with all the advice given so far. I was in MK on the 22nd this year and it was so crowded!!!! I was glad I got there early in the morning to get in because I was very worried we might have been turned away otherwise.

Make sure you visit the Character Greeting Trails at Animal Kingdom. They had the little pavilions decorated up so festively and the characters all had cute little holiday outfits.

I don't know if they do this at every resort but we stayed at the Poly and they had special character meet and greets there a couple of nights.

We enjoyed the Candlelight Processional at Epcot and the Osborn Lights are amazing!
