I know this has been discussed ad nauseum, but which breakfast would be ideal for 3 boys - ages 3, 5 and 7? What is the protocol? Do you need reservations and where to you make them? Do they have discounts? We'll be arriving in Anaheim late on Friday March 25th and attending Disney for 2 or 3 days.

thanks!

It depends on who your boys would like to see....that is what I would base which meal on:

Goofy's Kitchen has Goofy & Pluto regularly & we've also seen Chip, Dale, Baloo, Minnie, Alice, Brer Fox, Jasmine & Aladdin. Huge buffet!

Minnie's & Friends has Minnie. We've also seen: Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger, Capt Hook, Peter Pan, Alice, Chip, Dale, Rafiki, Honest John, Max & Fairy Godmother. Decent sized buffet!

Surf's Up with Mickey: Mickey is the host & we've also seen: Minnie, Goofy, Pluto & Stitch. The buffet offers some different foods not seen at the other buffets.

Storyteller's with Chip & Dale.....has Chip, Dale & some of their furry friends. We've seen: Meeko, Kenai, Rafiki & Brer Fox. They have a buffet of order off menu.

Ariel's Grotto: This is the princess meal. You meet Ariel when you get downstairs & then see 4 more princesses during your meal. The meal is served family style.

All great choices!!

Call Disney Dining 714-781-3463 up to 60 days prior to your trip. The time you're going I would suggest getting a reservation.

Have a *+*+*Magical*+*+* trip & enjoy your character meal(s)!!

If you want LOTS of charater photos Minnie & Friends

If you want the most interaction & activities Mickey's surfs up

As far as dinner only Goofy's has that

Storytellers is nice but characters are ones not every kid has at the top of their list however I had the BEST omlet there

since you have boys I'm guessing Ariel's isn't on the agenda as it wasn't for my son so I have not been to that one

Thanks for the information! Who has the best food?

We enjoy the buffet at Surf's Up with Mickey because some of the food choices are different......like salmon & pita pizza.

We've never been disappointed at Goofy's Kitchen.....there are so many things to choose from.

The made to order omelets are good at Minnie's.......we've never had much luck with the other hot food......usually cold or no flavor. It has gotten better & with fresh fruit to eat as well as the omelet....we don't leave hungry.

I ordered off menu at Storytellers & thought it was good......hubby said the buffet was ok.

We love the breakfast at Ariel's.........always plenty to eat!

You really can't go wrong with any of your choices......go with ones your kids will enjoy seeing certain characters.

Goofys has brunch & dinner, Ariels has breakfast & lunch & the other 3 are breakfast only.

One thing to look at also is timing. Some of these meals are not in the parks so if you have a flight/driving out mid day then you can do the parks for the full 2-3 days and on your final day do the meal then leave for home.

I have down Airels a couple time and Minnies once and while everytime was great it was time consuming. Next time we go we are going to try and do a meal on our last day.

Are there any Character meals that aren't breakfast?

We do Ariel's (princesses) for lunch.

Minnie and Friends (which is a breakfast) we do at one of their last seatings (usually the second to last seating) and use it as a brunch--we eat an early breakfast before the park opens, do all of Fantasyland, Buzz, and Astro Orbittor and then head to Minnie and Friends. It works out perfectly for us! A perfect break!

We loved Surf's Up. We saw Mickey, Minnie, Daisy, Stitch, and Pluto. TONS of character interaction. We went on a day that the park opened at 10 (MM at 9). We did a 7am reservation, stayed until a bit after 8, and then walked over for MM. So we didn't miss any park time. The kids had a blast playing with the characters and the food was really good.

what time is the minnie breakfast open til?
i'm really not sure what time we'd be there. we're staying in LA and are going through Starline tours,so who knows exactly what time we'd get there. do you have to have a reservation for it?

Check out my Christmas TR we did 4 of the 5 character meals (no princesses) on that trip with our son age 6.
