Here you go... it was posted on the main theme park board yesterday, someone checked out the email address and said it was legit?? I think it's crazy Disney would do this but hey if you can get people to volunteer to work, why wouldn't you? I really wish Disney would open a school of business so I could attend...

Thanks guys, but I'm just trying to help.

I really hope to meet at least ONE certain person, who may or may not be pictured in my avatar directly to your left haha.

And snail mail is way more personal than email. I miss when I used to get actual letters in the mail versus pre approved credit application crapola!

Tomorrow is my last exam, then I am going home and preparing all weekend for the DC Games! Woo hoo, bring on the summer!

1 MORE DAY!!! :woohoo:

i think those are good pros. I would assume they would have the whole field set up for that day already, the crew was out when we got there around 8:30 last year, so I think you'll be fine. And if it is the opening ceremonies, then every star should be there.
I don't think they actually filmed the opening ceremonies last year until Friday. I just asked dd (13yrs old- better memory) and she also thinks they taped both the opening and closing ceremonies the day of the concert. I know they(DC stars) were all on the field when we arrived for the concert and lots of paper pieces(confetti) were around. We were in the 2nd tier of "extras" and were there all 3 game days from the start until 2:30 or so.
Personally, I think the weather will have more of an effect on what day might be better and we know how predictable the FL weather can be :upsidedow

we are fixing to leave for the trip see you at the games, dd and I will be sporting the lime green on concert day. If we find out anything I will let you know.

Bye. :cool1:

the good news is this is not rainy season. it has been really really really dry here. I see us fighting with more brush fires then a thunderstorm. I am South of Orlando and weather is different here from there.

So howd I do...I could be a meteorologist...:cloud9:

First of all, I posted on this board about a month ago on page 10, I think, and today I look for it and WOW!,pag 100+.
So, here's my situation. I was lucky enough to get tik for the concert (seats) but I have kids in school here in Orlando, and I'm thinking on heading over on Tuesday around 4pm to 7pm for the taping.
What do you guys that have been there think, is it worth it? I know that there's down time (I was there at the christmas parade taping last year) but do you think the kids could get a chance to see some filming or even get an autograph?
Please let me know, thanks.:goodvibes

I hope so because my DD asked for me to wait until she got out of school that day and take her with when I pick up tickets. But since this is my first DCG, and I know only what I've read here, I'll just have to wish for luck in seeing some stars! :confused3

Jonas Brothers will be there. The Cheetah Girls, too. The Disney Channel Games start Monday and run through next Friday.

The event enlists the channel's young celebrities in elaborate competitions played for charity. The competitors will build a chariot to race, play pieces on a giant foos table and match fellow stars to their baby pictures.

The games unfold from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday in Champion Stadium at Disney's Wide World of Sports, off Interstate 4, southwest of Orlando. May 2 events start at 2 p.m.

"We're inviting people to come and watch, but it's a working production," said Adam Sanderson, senior vice president of brand marketing for the Disney ABC Networks Group. "It's not staged as a sporting event."

The footage will become five half-hour telecasts that start in late July. Brian Stepanek of "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody" will host.

The lineup of talent confirmed to date includes:

From "Camp Rock": Joe Jonas, Kevin Jonas, Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato, Alyson Stoner, Jasmine Richards, Anna Maria Perez de Tagle, Meaghan Jette Martin and Roshon Fegan.

From "Hannah Montana": Jason Earles, Mitchel Musso, Moises Arias and Cody Linley.

From "The Cheetah Girls One World": Adrienne Bailon, Kiely Williams, Sabrina Bryan and Kunal Sharma.

From "Wizards of Waverly Place": David Henrie, Selena Gomez, Jake T. Austin and Jennifer Stone.

From "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody": Dylan Sprouse, Cole Sprouse and Brenda Song.

From "Cory in the House": Kyle Massey and Jason Dolley.

There will be Disney Channel stars from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, France, Germany, Italy, Singapore, Spain, Japan, Taiwan and the United Kingdom.

Sanderson said there will be plenty of grandstand seating.

"We can't have regular kids on the field," he said. "The talent will be walking around, playing the games. They'll be able to see the talent."

The celebrities will play for charities: Boys & Girls Club, UNICEF, Make-A-Wish and Starlight Starbright.

Sanderson said the challenges this year will be visually bigger so they come across well on television.

"Everybody is out there to have fun," Sanderson said. "It makes for great programming. Our audience gets to see more of them as real people. It's cool that you get to see them out there being regular teens."

Peformances from a May 3 concert, for which tickets have been distributed, will be incorporated in the half-hours. Performing at the concert will be Jonas Brothers, the Cheetah Girls, Demi Lovato and Jordan Pruitt.

I have decided~

Am going out Monday to pick up the concert tix and check out the games, keeping DD out of school, she should enjoy. Has anyone heard whether it is official about Miley/Hannah performing at the concert as well? Just hope mine can see the concert from the stands, we have seats which I hear are assigned so hopefully not obstructed by a pole or something  just my luck. If anyone has any suggestions/secrets to share for monday let me know.
