Disney Channel Games 2008???

Still looking for confirmed dates for filming. I emailed Wide World of Sports and they emailed back that no dates had been confirmed. This was last week. Thanks everyone.

can you tell me how i can contact disney wide world of sports, i am a big fan of disney channel and i really need to contact them

I sent an email to the WDW Event services to ask this same question and this was the reply I received this past Friday:

Hello Susanna,

We are still settling all the details for the 2008 Disney Channel Games. Please look for decisions to be in place closer to March 1st and after. Stay tuned to Disney Channel and visit disneychannel.com for up to date information as well.

Thank you for your patience as we continue to gear up for this year's events.

...I know it's not the specific dates you're looking for, but they did say they would know by March 1st! Please update us if you hear any differently...

im a huge disney fan and im really upset because im going to be there april 19th through the 26th does anybody know or think that anybody will be hanging out in the parks early getting ready for the games because i would really love to meet someone from disney, it would be my dream come true! it just breaks my heart to know that the games are there two days after i leave

I have been checking here daily waiting for the release of 2008 info. This is the only place I know of. So far they have not updated the info. Hopefully we will hear something soon!!

Hi! I attended the DCG last year.It was a BLAST! I did not know there was even such a thing as the DCG.A short time before I left for an already planned trip to WDW last year,I saw an announcement that the DCG would be taking place at WWoS during my trip.At first,I thought it was some type of new games based on Disney Channel shows that they were introducing to the public.I did not realize it was a TV show with the real Disney Chanel Stars.LOL Nothing has been announced about how this year's DCG will be conducted so all my information is from last year's Games.There was no charge to attend and you could come and go as you pleased.It was NOT crowded.I think that was because the Florida schools were still in session and the tapings were during the day.Your DD MOST DEFINITELY will have a chance to see some of her favorite stars.I bought my niece a DCG 2007 shirt and got her a TON of autographs on it.There was NO autograph session or meet-and-greet,but as the Stars were going out onto or leaving the field for the tapings,they would sometimes come over to the seats and sign autographs.There were also a few other locations in the stadium where autographs could sometimes be obtained.I had really good results at one specific place.It could get fairly competitive at times,so really the amount of autographs you got really depended an how much time you wanted to put into it.There was also a chance you could run into the Stars if you were staying at one of their hotels or out in the parks.I saw Kyle Massey and the Sprouse twins hanging out in Tomorrowland one night and Miley Cyrus and Jason Earles in Epcot as they were being escorted to a DCG press event.The taping of the DCG closing concert that Friday night DID require a ticket.The tickets were free.I was able to obtain some through an Annual Passholder promotion,but they were also available online I think.The DCG Concert did "sell-out";I think because it was at night and the Florida school kids were able to go.The DCG concert ended with a Disney-quality fireworks show.The 2007 DCG was really a fun event to attend.Iam sure it could be "boring" to some people because there was a lot of "downtime",but they had the concessions stands open,etc. and it was just a fun atmosphere.I was on a mission to get my niece as many autographs as possible,so that made it fun.If your daughter really likes the Disney Channel Stars,this is THE event for her.It was fun to see how the kids reacted to the Stars.I think my ears are still ringing from the girl's screams I endured as I obtained the Jonas Brother's autographs for my niece. If you have anymore questions I will be glad to try and help.I have learned quite a bit from the time when I didn't even know what a DCG was!LOL

Hi!LAST year there were no tickets required for the daily tapings.Tickets were required for the taping of the Disney Channel Games Concert featuring Hannah Montanna/Miley Cyrus,The Cheetah Girls and The Jonas Brothers.These tickets were free and available at an online site that was set up for the general public and through an Annual Passholders promotion.If you go to the tapings you WILL meet some of the Stars-"meeting them" being defined as competing with a bunch of people to get their autograph when they come over to the crowds for a few minutes every now and then.Some of the Stars would sign a lot more autographs than some of the other Stars.In my experience,the nicest Stars were Miley Cyrus,Kyle Massey,Jason Earles,Mitchell Musso,Jason Dolley and Andrea Guasch who was an International Star from Disney Channel Spain.

I feel very comfortable that these dates are correct.Hal Boedecker covered the Games for the Orlando Sentinel last year and I trust his information.The only thing I question is whether the Games will end on May 3 which is a Saturday.Last year the Closing Concert was on Friday night and I think that may be the case this year on May 2.But that is strictly conjecture.I do not know why Disney will not confirm the dates.I have e-mailed WDW Events asking for confirmation to no avail.
