Disney Channel Games 2008???

:scared: Have seat concert tickets and would like to know what would be
a good time to arrive to WWOS on Saturday?!! 4 teenagers bringing myself & husband along for the experience:rolleyes1 Don't want to arrive too early but don't want to miss any part of it either considering parking, admission line etc... would appreciate your thoughts on the matter. I too overheard at the
parade yesterday that the DC crew & JB's are staying at AKL...just a "fly on the wall"...Also, thanks to everyone who posted pictures, I'm still trying:confused3 and for that wonderful Toy Story attraction report!

I posted a link earlier to my review for the ride. Well you can't get in to park until 4pm then they won't start allowing you to go in until 7pm - one hour before taping. The CM who guided us yesterday at TSMM said that the CM's are scheduled to work 3:30 pm to 11:30 pm.

Thanks to the poster earlier that advised of K92's giveaway. Still no concert tickets for us, but I did learn that radio stations have caller ID and will call you back if you call & hang up several times. Hey, I was just checking to make sure that I had the right number speed dialed into my phone.

Does anyone know if this morning that they truly gave out all of the tickets not already picked up? School really gets in the way sometimes.:(

Thanks, for that fabulous report:yay: !:cheer2:
AP's sneek peak is May 9 & 10 and you must show your AP
according to WDW Passholder News now I am really
looking forward to it!:yay:

I have seats in section 115 for the concert, is that good? o_o

EDIT: Should I even try bringing a camera in for the concert?

Hey guys this is Sarah's mom, as she doesn't have internet access right now.

"I went to the games today from 8:30 to 7 ish. Didn't get any autographs except some international stars. I wasn't really trying so I guess that is ok, but I saw alot of DC stars, the nicest one was Carla from Mexico.
Jonas fans are sucktastic."

She may be under fire for her Vanity Fair and Internet photos, but Miley Cyrus will still be center stage Saturday at the 2008 Disney Channel Games.
The Disney Channel stands by their Hannah Montana superstar, confirming that she will perform at the concert wrapping the weeklong charity event held at Walt Disney World in Orlando.

After some private photos hit the blogs – but before Cyrus apologized for the "embarrassing" Vanity Fair magazine shoot – a Disney exec conceded, "the Internet adds a whole new twist to typical teenage life."

"Being the most famous 15-year-old in the world is exciting but fraught with challenges and exceptional responsibility," Gary Marsh, Disney Channel entertainment president, told the Los Angeles Times about their biggest star before the photo flap.

The scandal hasn't slowed down Cyrus's packed work schedule. In addition to the concert – which airs in July and also features the Jonas Brothers, The Cheetah Girls, Demi Lovato and Jordan Pruitt – Cyrus will begin filming the Hannah Montana movie next week in Nashville. Her new album is slated for a July release.

Not to mention most industry experts expect Cyrus will be just fine. "The audience is going to let this one go," says Jerry Del Colliano, a music industry professor at the University of Southern California. "The parents are going to forgive and the kids are going to love her just as much."

Wow, thank you so much! My DD will be thrilled now that Miley AND Demi are set to perform.

I was at the games today and spoke with someone who was at WWoS at 9:30 this morning and there were about 50 people ahead of them and they didn't think that they would get tickets for the concert but they did get tickets. The envelope had the original name on it crossed off. So obviously there were tickets available today if you were in the right place at the right time.

We went today from 11am till nearly 8pm. My daughter and her friend were actively on the look out for stars and by 5pm only had 4 autographs each. At about 7ppm to 8, they got another 10. All the stars were very kind and most stayed and signed before they left to leave the stadium.

I only had one problem the whole day and it was with (some) older teen girls (14-16yrs olds) who were hogging the railing. They wouldnt let anyone get near them to get an autograph, one even threatened my daughter and her friend (11-12yrs old)with dumping a drink on their heads & verbal abuse....its just outragious that kids have to act so ugly at times and bully kids who are younger, there was room to share, but they just wouldnt budge an inch. So much so, one girl who was heavy set leaned forward in order to stick her butt out so far, it left no room around her for others.

But, where and when?

And, apparently Miley won't be at it - will she still be at the concert?

Miley Cyrus to skip scheduled Disney red carpet event Miley Cyrus made an appearance at Disney World, but won't be sticking around long enough for the media to join her.

Cyrus will not be attending Friday's red carpet event at the resort as planned, Walt Disney World spokesman Gary Buchanan said Thursday. It would have been her first public event since Vanity Fair published photos this week that have thrown her status as a role model for young girls into question.

For weeks she'd been scheduled to appear at the media party, along with dozens of other Disney Channel stars in town to film the "Disney Channel Games," a charity competition. Buchanan did not elaborate on why Cyrus is no longer expected.

The 15-year-old star of "Hannah Montana" did spend some time at the resort on Thursday, however, signing autographs for children and taking photos with Mickey and Minnie Mouse, images Disney provided to The Associated Press show. Cyrus was dressed in a modified sports jersey, rolled-up cutoff jeans and yellow sneakers.

The Vanity Fair photos, showing Cyrus' bare shoulders and back, were taken by renowned celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz. She and the magazine defended the pictures, saying the singer, her parents and her handlers approved of the images during the shoot.

Cyrus said earlier this week that she was "embarrassed" by the pictures and apologized to fans.

Okay so yesterday, I think was could have been the worst experience thus far on a Disney level. Not at all happy with the way things took place. I got there basically at 5:00 pm basing that from when I went on Tuesday. The staff was rude beyond recognition at the security check point.

My DD whose is 9 and petite got knocked over from some big old 16 yr old (I mean she was big). Then I was getting pushed when I had my other DD 2 in my arms.

The Stars were alittle disappointing with the exception for a few and mad PROPS again go to Jennifer Stone, she stayed out there until way past 7:30 that is when I left. All I can say is her Parents raised her right! :worship: Alyson Stoner also was great. But everyone else was long gone. Anybody else notice Kyle Massey is antisocial? Does not even look up and wave :snooty:

Part of me can not blame them for not their lack of fan contact but hey this is Disney the land of WHERE dreams come True. I agree with JIMMAR definitely should be a Fan Fair and charge a small fee, even $5.00 per person and it have donated to the Charities that they are playing for.

Okay done venting now.

I went yesterday, and it was an amazing experience.
We got there at 9am, and stayed until around 7:30ish.

We met 21 stars, and they were all exceptional. We stood elsewhere, because the left dugout was loaded with girls. Most of the stars were really interactive, and waving, running over, and dancing with us ;)

My DD and I were there yesterday with friends of ours that will be going with us on Saturday. DD got 3 autographs from I have no idea. Some of the girls that were standing at the fence were very mean. Our friends dd is only 8 and was getting pushed and shoved so my dd who is 14 had to defend the litle one just so she could get her signatures. I was totally shocked by the way some of these kids were acting. I have to say at least when the JB were at the Ellen show it was crazy but it was more civilized. I agree that some of the securiy was rude but put yourself in their shoes, I wouldn't want to deal with what was going on. Kids not listening and fighting:sad2: As for Kyle Massey Unbelievable! I think the best part of my dd day was when Nick Jonas was posing for pictures for a reporter and he was flexing, dd just stared:rotfl2:
Maybe I look at it differently, even though they were unable to get close enough they were still able to be closer than the tv. And YES Disney should have had us pay whatever then let the kids get there signatures and pics. Donate that money. It would have ben Soooooo much easier!
The funny of the day.... We were at AKL where my daughter says look there's Mrs Jonas I am telling her to look she says what I see her I told her no look about 30 seconds goes by and the light bulb goes of and she says Mom he walked right in front of us. I said yes he did. Nick Jonas was a mere 5 inches from her arm and she was too busy not paying attention to what I was saying too busy looking around for him that she missed what was right in front of her. Poor Baby.

We were there from about 10:00 - 12:00 yesterday and the Jonas girls pretty much ruined it for my party. I had my DD7 with me and two 14 year olds - all three were shocked and embarrassed for the girls that were screaming and pushing and generally being ugly to others. We watched some crazy teenager practically de-pants Cody Linley when he was nice enough to reach up and give her a hug. My 7 year old wanted no part of it so we moved over to the grassy area behind the tents (where we met some other DIS folks which was great). We got zero autographs in that time, but away from the left dugout where the crazy girls were it was fun to just watch the stars running around up close. As to Kyle Massey - we actually saw Dylan Sprouse being fairly unfriendly which was disappointing. For the camera question...security was SUPER clear, coming by to tell the girls in line pre-10:00AM about five times that Disney security was not working the concert, but OCSheriff was. There will be metal detectors and people will be getting wanded down. If you want to try and bring in a camera be prepared to either take it back to the car or throw it out - that is straight from the Disney security manager. We had a nice day after we left the games until we showed up for dinner at AKL where we had a rez and there was another horde of JB girls. It was ridiculous - they were there wandering the halls and crowding the lobby and entrance until after 10:00 when we left. I would say - just using common sense - there is no way Disney opens this taping up next year. We were not here last year so we are bummed that the environment that everyone spoke so much about was completely ruined. How sad for the JB that their fans are unable to control themselves - or that the parents of those fans haven't taught them basic common manners. We love the JB and the rest of the Disney stars - but the scene yesterday was just too much. Thanks again and again to all here who were so nice before and during the games. Don't know if I'll see any of you at the concert tomorrow and if anyone has two seats they want to trade for the field PM me. We are not going over to Epcot for the red carpet event tonight but I hope some of you here might so we can read the report. Thank you all!!!
Melissa
