Disney changed closing time so now my ADR is no good???

Now isnt that special???? we had 7:30 ADRs at Momma Melroses and now they changed the closing time to 7:00, and Ressies called today to let me know...... that wouldnt be that bad, because I am not the fond of Melroses anyway, but we are going next week!!!!

Has anyone else had this happen??? Now what to do? with the meal plan I know that there isnt going to be any decent availabilities????

That really sucks! Maybe you can find somewhere at one of the resorts. Sorry that happened to you.

You will still have options, but probably resort restaurants over park choices. That does stink that they're closing early on you...and that you only have a week to go. I'd try Kona at Polynesian, Boatwright's at POR, Maya Grille at CSR...there will still be some options. I've called the day of and had a few choices.

Call the dining line in the morning and ask what they have available for that night, you'd be surprised with what they come up with.

Yeah, I'm surprised too that they simply told you your reservation couldn't be honored and didn't at least try/offer to help you with a replacement! That stinks.

Not Italian, but you should be able to get reservations at Turf Club (SSR) or Olivia's (OKW) with little problem.

I am surprised as well. I have heard (on here only) when this happened the ADRs still remained entact. Hm....... maybe you could ask them to help you out on replacing that ADR or something....

That DOES stink! I don't know if you've already planned a meal and/or time at the Boardwalk, but I think that would be a nice "replacement". I love it over at the BW. Try ESPN since they don't take Ressies; I wouldn't have suggested the Big River based on MY experience, but I recently read a nice review. Or maybe - just maybe - you could get into Spoodles.

Wow! I can't beleive they didn't offer to help you find something else. They did for us when Japan wasn't ready for there new opening. That stinks! I call them up an give them at what for

Call reservations, and try Kona Cafe at the Polynesian, The Wave at the Contemporary, or the Grand Floridian Cafe...all have good food, family friendly atmosphere & easier reservations to get usually.

Also, the Epcot resorts...Spoodles, Cape May Cafe (buffet), Captain's Grille are all 1 tableservice on the Dining Plan.

Sorry about the hours change. That's a bummer! I hope you find an acceptable replacement. Thanks for posting. Your situation is a good reminder for the rest of us. I think I'll stick to ADRs in Epcot or at the resorts, until they stop playing around with the hours.

I'm guessing this was for March 8th? I am so sorry that happened and I hope you find something good to replace it with. I am also amazed they didn't help you find something to replace it with!
In case you are wondering, the reason they changed the hours that day has to do with the Princess Half Marathon Post Race party going on there that evening. They had a mix up with the party hours and extra magic hours being held on the same night and had to change things around. I believe they are now offering EMH at MK that night instead of HS, not sure if that's an option but there might be some meals open there now!
