We heading to Disney for our first ever trip at the end of Feburary and we are planning to take a day to trek out to LEGOLAND. We were hoping to use the Disney car center to rent a car for the day. when I checked the rates it was around 111$ for a basic car with 2 booster seat rentals. It seems like a lot!! Has anyone ever done this? any tips on cheaper car rentals from the car care center?

The rental at the car care center is just Alamo. If you can find any deals on ALamo it would apply to that office. There is Turo.com where people rent out their own cars. We had a good experience using that service recently.

I did it several years ago and I think it was about $70 for a daily rental. (

I know I searched through Costco, tried Priceline and went through the SW shopping portal (which often has discounts). I honestly don't remember which one ended up being the cheapest. I brought my own booster seat so that could have something to do with the price difference. Does it cost a lot to add boosters?

Would it make a difference to bring them from home? Do they need full boosters with backs of just the backless. I took a backless booster for my son for my last trip (rented a car for the whole trip because we spent several day at legoland). On the way there I packed it in the suitcase. On the way home, we needed the room for souvieners so I just carried it on the plane. I gate checked it and it was right there on the jetway when I got off the plane.

Also, the Transportation board usually has tips and discount codes. The good thing about a car rental is most of them don't make you pay upfront so it's easy to book one and cancel when/if you find a better deal (but make sure you read the fine print).

thanks for the tips... I am new on here so I didn't see that there is a transportation board. I will check that out. the booster seat rentals are 10.99 each so to me it doesn't seem worth it to bring them and deal with the hassle of dragging them both on the plane!
