Anyone still have a FP for wishes between 5/1 and 5/22?
We still have ours for 5-7

Perhaps they are cancelling the people who have been to WDW more than once since they don't make as much money off you? While it's totally unacceptable for them to "oversell", if that happens then they should start cancelling those that made their reservations most recently. I've had that FP since 60 days out. There's no way they are cancelling the most recent first and I'm in that group.
Out of curiosity, what did you say specifically? I'm trying to figure out how to word it so it makes it clear that I had the FP and they got cancelled even though the event did not get cancelled. That is so distressing. I'm so sorry all that happened. I just called the number at the bottom of the cancellation email and got through immediately. That was after I was on hold for 20 minutes on the regular WDW hotline then finally realized there was a different number to call. They replaced my FP but it's one of those Select One Experience ones and you have to click on details in MDE to see that it is for Wishes. Hopefully it works. Give them a call and try to get yours back. Bonus - they let me keep the other FP so now I have 4 for that day.
Disney used to do a lot of things right. IT has never been one of them.Even worse, still, they have a system that doesn't work 100% and they don't fix all the existing issues before trying to add more features. It's got to be the most frustrating IT department of any major company in the world. I often say that it evident they put Goofy in charge of the IT, with Donald as his VP
I was super nice and did my best to hide my panic. I just let the CM know that I received an email that said my FP for Wishes was cancelled and replaced with Mickey at Town Square. I said it must be a glitch because the time referenced in the email wasn't even the correct time of my FP. (I don't know if anyone else had that issue. My FP was for 8:35-8:55p. However, the email said they cancelled my FP for 8:35-9:12p.) So I focused on that aspect of it and how it must be a glitch. The CM agreed and said she was getting my FP back and would also allow me to keep the Mickey one which I have since traded in for Haunted Mansion.Out of curiosity, what did you say specifically? Did you get transferred to Tech Support? The CM that answered the phone (called the number at the bottom of the email) transferred me to TS. No, I did not get transferred to TS. The person that answered the phone was able to help me. That is strange. Keep me posted!Did you get transferred to Tech Support? The CM that answered the phone (called the number at the bottom of the email) transferred me to TS. I'm on hold with them now.
And you are right. That is NOT the right time of the FP I booked either.
This question is not meant with any snark intended, but why would any of you want to use a FP for Wishes in your initial 3 when the park opens at 6am? Wishes can be seen from sooo many great places. Why would you want to cheat yourself out of extra FPs for the entire day? Again, no snark. Just trying to figure out why so many are taking this touring approach. Anyone care to share their thoughts on this?
Yes, but I am referring to the 24 hour day. A regular day where you would maybe only go for the evening makes sense, but I would think most people going for the 24 hour day are hoping to be there for the entire event. Though, maybe not, which is why I was hoping those going could share their reasoning. We don't schedule morning fp+'s- we think the parks are easy enough to manage without them. We also park hop. So for us to use a fp+ for Wishes in the evening really costs us nothing. Plus, we've have some nasty experiences with the crowds so even if it did limit us, we'd still do it. It's just one day of our trip. We don't do this every day.

The 24 Hour Day is the only time I would use FP for Wishes. I disagree that you can watch Wishes from soooo many great places. Wishes is only great from a very limited viewing area. All others are less than great, all the way down to poor. On the 24 Hour Day the fight to watch Wishes in the great viewing areas will be massive. I don't want to spend hours of time holding down my spot. Instead, I will be at the Resort sleeping until shortly before Wishes begins. We'll walk back to MK, go to the Wishes FP Viewing area and watch Wishes and then tour till the wee hours of the morning. We'll have no problems riding all we want to ride in the morning and then after Wishes we'll take in all the characters in the outfits, pick up other FP as we want, if there are any. Any other day a Wishes FP is a waste. But this is the one day it isn't. At least for me.This question is not meant with any snark intended, but why would any of you want to use a FP for Wishes in your initial 3 when the park opens at 6am? I plan to be at the 24 hour event the entire time. My rationale is completely opposite. Since I have 24 hrs then I can afford to wait in some lines. Plus I plan to do a lot of characters that day and not as many rides. Wishes is my absolute favorite and that is our last night at MK. So I want to ensure that I see it with no stress of trying to hold down my spot. I have really bad luck when it comes to scoping out a good spot for fireworks and parades. I didn't want to take any chances that night.Yes, but I am referring to the 24 hour day. I hadn't thought about it but yes, I bet you are on to something. The FP that got dropped probably did dump back in to the system and folks probably did grab them up, thinking they hit the jack pot. I guess more than likely everyone who had theirs cancelled won't call to get it back so hopefully it evens out and doesn't increase the crowds tremendously. If you hadn't posted about calling I know I wouldn't had bothered to call myself. It does sound like anyone who calls to ask will get theirs back. At least that's the impression I got.@AngiTN Yay! That is great news! Since they cancelled that many FPs for those two dates, I wonder if that many new people were able to grab them up. Did the CM happen to say anything about that? I'm really worried about how overly crowded the FP viewing area is going to be.

I believe they all have been distributed. The CM I got that escalated it for me tried to book it using the normal methods and it didn't work. It had to be escalated to a different department and they had to issue a special Any Experience FP in order to get the replacement. But they are not available to book any other way.If past situations hold, even if there was a glitch, once the magic number of FP+ for a given attraction have been redistributed, IT will not restore "lost" FP+ once the positions have all been otherwise filled.
