Was it MS, or your guide? We got a call like that soon after we bought in (resale). I don't know who the gentleman was but he was nice. COngrats on your purchase adn welcome home!
Actually, we have owned for 9 years, and this last trip, our guide called and wished us a welcome home and a great trip. I had never had this happen before either.
I had this message on my work cell (not sure how they had that, must have left it on a message to my guide at some point). It was from Lisa in MS. Welcome, call MS for reservations or any questions, and "Have a magical day!".
Well, they did not call me at home, but when we get to the resort on a regular trip, there is usually a message by the end of the first day on the room phone answering service welcoming us home. {we have been members since 1991} However, I did get an e-mail today regarding our trip next week, from our guide, welcoming us home and reminding us to look into all of the benefits and services available when we arrive. Now THAT'S a new one!
On our trip "home" this past November we had a message on our phone from our guide welcoming us home and letting us know if there was anything he could do for us while we were there. That was the first time we ever received a call like that and we thought is was real nice especially since my sister and her family were with us and they had just become members themselves. It was very impressive and much appreciated.
Me, too! I wasn't there, though, so it's currently on my answering machine. (I have to admit, I've played it more than once, just to hear the "Welcome home!")
I did call to try and make one - but didn't realize they closed at 5:30!!! I figured they would at least be open until 8pm or so! lol! Now I know why I read how people wish they were open on weekends. I was itching for a ressie!!!!!!!! Keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow.
Back in the early days of DVC, we always received a phone call from our guide, Megan Butler, when we were checked into our room. Nice to see some of the personal touch come back!
