Are the buses still running slow to parks and springs? We are staying at AOA in May, keeping my fingers crossed buses are not a huge issue

Based upon the posts I've read in other threads, the word on the street is that bus transportation can be pretty bad with long waits. I'm willing to concede, though, that maybe the people who are having troubles with busing are the mostly likely to post their negative experience.

Thanks!! I was wondering how backed up things would be at the airport too. I hate to get a rental car 🙄

We were there in December. Over the course of 12 days, we experienced nothing different from all pre-covid trips. If anything, the buses were faster than we've typically seen. We never waited longer than 15 min for a bus. Perhaps we got lucky, but I suspect that some people's expectations of "limited capacity" at the parks equated to not waiting for anything, ever. A sure recipe for disappointment and frustration. And a lot of complaining.

Of course, YMMV.

I had heard/read that AOA had buses only to MK and AK and no buses to EP or HS because of the Skyliner. Is that true?

This is true. The only exception is if there is a thunderstorm; then you will take a bus to or from the parks.
