What is the seating capacity on a Disney bus? What is the approximate standing capacity? Why doesn't Disney play music or show videos on the buses? Thanks.:D :earsboy:

Do you mean the busses that run from resorts to parks and such? Well, Ironically enough I counted the seats on one of them this trip. It was one of the "handicap accessible" busses so I think there were less seats than on a normal one but there were 36 I think.

I don't know why disney doesn't have movies or music on the busses but I don't think you need it. There's so much to see and if you get a good bus driver or group of people to talk to...it's much more fun than just listening to music or watching TV. Plus, most rides aren't much longer than 5-10 minutes or so.

Thanks for the reply.Yes,I am referring to the resort to park, etc. busses.I agree it is always fun to talk to people from all over the world on the bus trips. In fact, that is one of my favorite things to do at WDW.I just think that it would really add to the atmosphere and excitement if some Disney music was playing in the background as you talk to other guests.I am sure there is a good reason why they don't.:D

It probably relates to cost... the Disney bus fleet is enormous (around 270 buses), and fitting them with speakers, and either receivers for radio broadcasts of music, or some sort of onboard playback device (DVD player or similar) would cost a lot of money.

Just my thoughts...

I must be lucky, I've never gotten on a bus at Disney that didn't have music playing. Maybe I got the cool drivers that like to rock out while they're driving! :rockband:

Any time I'm at WDW, I find that there is music playing in my head when I'm not surrounded by it (like in all the parks and resorts). I usually can't get it out even if I try. "There's a great big beautiful tomorrow, shining at the end of every day...!) (It's a small world, after all..)
