Its been a while since we were at the World, and I just wanted to verify: there are no direct buses from any of the theme parks to Downtown Disney, are there?

Downtown Disney buses only go from the resorts, right?

Thanks for any info!

Thanks!

For some reason, I always have a hard time remembering this rule.

You are welcome. Yeah, they want to try and cut down on people taking advantage of the free parking.

When I want to go to Downtown Disney from one of the parks, I take the bus to Saratoga Springs and walk over (or wait for the DTD bus there). You can also take the bus to the closest resort to the park you're visiting and take the DTD bus from there.

Thanks!

So, I guess the reverse is true too?

If I want to go from Downtown Disney TO a park, I can walk, or take a water taxi to Saratoga Springs, and then take a bus to the park?

You are correct that you could walk over to SSR and take a bus, but also consider taking a bus from DTD to a resort close to the park that you are trying to reach. Examples:

For MK, I find it easier to take a bus at Downtown Disney to one of the Monorail resorts (Contemporary, Poly, Granf Floridian) and then monorail over (or walk or monorail from Contemporary after bus from DTD).

To Epcot, you can bus to Beach Club and walk to Epcot.

To DHS, you can bus to Boardwalk or Swan and walk or boat over.

For AK, toss up. You might employ the SSR walk for this.

It is not as convenient to catch the bus at SSR now, since they share buses with the THV.

Buses were fuller this time around for us.

I would use the suggestion of the PP to take a bus to the resort that is closest to the park.
