When were you bitten by the Disney bug?

Me as a kid back in the 70's. I remember watching The Wonderful World of Disney shows during the 3 channel days on Sunday nights. Wishing I could go to WDW, but knowing we could not afford it. Then my cousins went, and came back and told me about their trip. I was so JEALOUS. Well flash forward to 2002 My DW thought it would be a good trip for the 4 of us, so we go to a travel Agent who sets it all up. As we are driving down I ask my wife how much bigger WDW was compaired to the county fair, you should have seen the look on her face. I didn't know I had never been to WDW before. She said that it was nothing like a county fair, much better, boy was she right. I had no idea that as a 37 year old adult that I would have so much fun, and feel like a kid again. Well we had so much fun we are going back this May with about 20 of our family and friends. This will be our 7th WDW trip. I can't wait. So do you think I've (we) been bitten???

Oh you definitely are :lmao: I was born in 1954 and my childhood memories of the original MM club and Sunday nights with the family & Walt :goodvibes I remember my Dad telling me to "Take those damn ears off at the dinner table"

I have Mickey Heads on my DNA and my youngest DD and my grandson inherited the "gene" the oldest DD..not at all :sad2: I tried I really did :rotfl:
My first trip to WDW I was in my 30's still the best place on earth to let the adult responsibilities stay in the parking lot & enter the gates as a 5 yr old....Welcome to the Club !

Op, you and I are the same age and I too watched every Sunday! I went as a kid but only spent one day there. I went again in my 20s and when I saw the fireworks along with "When you wish upon a star" playing all around me, I just started crying. It's weird I know but I think that was it. Now when I take my son, I still cry. Who knows! I just get so emotional there. Such a wonderful place and now I can share it with him.:lovestruc
