Disney booking - concerns!

    Hi all!

    I booked through Disney direct last week - a package including direct flights with Norwegian.

    Trip is in Feb and it hasn't linked to MDE yet and i'm getting a little worried!

    An online chat with Norwegian to select seats made me more nervous as they said 'something is not right with your booking'. I suggested it may have been because it was booked recently and they said that it never usually gives that error even when just booked!

    Anyone else book with Norwegian direct through Disney and can shed any light? I just want to make sure i'm not planning away for Disney to turn around and say something is wrong in my booking and I can't go!

    If it was me I would be on the phone to Disney to find out what was going on.:)

    if an airline says there's a problem, you need to contact disney immediately and have them check out what's wrong.
    That definitely is not right.
    Especially since you said more than a day has passed since you booked it, it doesn't make sense that it hasn't posted yet to the airline.
    if i were you, i would call disney first thing in the morning.

    I phoned Disney last night - they said that everything is fine and gave us our Norwegian booking code however it does just bring up an error message when typing it in. They did say Norwegian could have said that because we haven't paid the trip in full yet. I guess I won't know 100% until we've done that which won't be until after the summer.

    They said that it wouldn't link to MDE for 2 weeks which I thought is odd given I booked direct and we're only 200 and something days out!

    Hopefully everything will be good.They cutting it fine with the MDE :sad2:

    It is possible/likely that Disney has a group booking with Nowegian, in which case it is entirely possible that the booking doesn't show up with Norwegian until Disney's "group booking window" is closed.

    I'm getting a little worried about not being able to see anything on MDE... We leave for our 2017 trip in 3 weeks and don't get back until 2 days before booking opens for restaurants. I don't want to chance getting it sorted in the 2 days after we return so if it's not sorted by next weekend, I will be phoning again!

    that's insane...
    you should definitely have been able to link by now for a trip in february..

    however, regarding the ADRs, it's my understanding you don't have to have any reservation at all to be able to make ADRs....
    so linking or not linking shouldn't impact that as far as i know..
    it's FPs that are very much impacted by not being linked...

    but i think anyone can make an ADR, whether you have a room reservation or not...

    have you tried calling their technical support number?
    i called it last week and someone with an actual brain answered...it was rather refreshing..
    these are the people who are trained to deal with computer problems in their system..

    let me find the phone number for you...

    You can book reservations still but it will affect your +10 days
    It took a few weeks for my reservation to link to MDE, I'd recommend keep trying it, keep calling them.. in recent experience you are likely to hear conflicting information from each person you speak to but keep at it

    Just got it sorted - thanks Disneyholic for the number. They linked it straight away for us!

    Now I can relax on our holiday coming up!
