I’m thinking of requesting a room facing the village green. It’s closer to the lobby and elevator, and also has a partial view of the boardwalk. I just don’t know if requesting 1st, 2nd or 3rd floor would be best. Any suggestions?

This is a great room! I think we were on the third floor when we stayed in one. I don’t remember it being far from elevator. Looking at the Village Green, we were upper left corner. This was back in 2016, so it was considered a standard view. We really lucked out with in. Good luck!

I don't recall any Village Green villas on the first floor - that space is filled with retail. IMO, there's no need to request a specific floor and your chances of getting a VG studio are greater if you don't. This is a very popular request.

BWV village green view does not have a first floor (Wyland gallery ) is on the first floor and the walkway to the pool and the arcade. The second floor has the long balcony and the rest of the floors have the short balcony.
I believe all these rooms are studios (not sure)

They are almost all Deluxe Studios with the exception of (4) 1 Bedroom Villas on the corner so 1 per floor. They are not Standard view rooms but Garden/Pool. The Standard View Villas are all in Bldg 2 along the front of the resort and a couple per floor at the far end towards HS.

We had a studio overlooking the village green that had a balcony nearly the same size as the room! It was fantastic :)

Do you think facing the village green is better than facing Luna pool?
Village Green view is a partial Boardwalk view, which many enjoy. Luna Pool view is noisy in the afternoon during activities, which are led via loudspeaker; Village Green view can be noisy at any time, depending on your villa's location above or near the breezeway, due to pedestrian traffic from the Boardwalk to the BWV elevators and Luna Pool area.

All the studios along the Village Green are booked as pool/garden view. If you request a Village Green view, you should consider also requesting higher floor (3 or above).

The rooms are on the second to fifth floors. Wyland Galleries, which is on the first floor, has some high arches that extend to the second floor, and a number of the second floor studios are buried behind those arches and have essentially no views. See attached photo and notice the second floor room balconies behind the arches.

It would be fantastic if they took advantage of that and had different furniture than the standard 2 little chairs and tiny table. We, perhaps oddly, did not like it. The people up above us would yell down to talk to us and well, it was a bit like being in a goldfish bowl. Had I had a lounger I would have not had any issue accepting that though. If you were maxed out in room capacity it definitely could be a plus though as a place to send a couple of people!

The higher the better or the view is obstructed by the bicycle rental shack and trees.

I find both parts of the Boardwalk to be noisy - the VG and Boardwalk itself get very noisy in the evening, while Luna Park peaks its noise in the afternoon. If you are looking for quiet, book a different resort.

Also, we've been staying at BWV for twenty years and have had ONE request met in all that time. So go ahead and request, but don't set any expectations - the VG is a very popular request to start with at a resort that doesn't have a high rate of meeting requests to start with.
